Months later....
"Please just proceed to the medication that I gave you. Don't worry, she's getting better each day since the infection wasn't that severe. After the medication, you can let her take some vitamins for immune boost." Sambit ko kay Justin na ngayo'y hawak hawak ang kanyang cute Golden Retriever puppy.
"Thank you so much po, doc." Ngiti nito.
Nagka infection yung puppy n'ya for weeks na but it's getting better since nag take na ito ng medications. Maraming sakit ng mga aso ang kumalat ngayon kaya maraming akong pasyente, I have lots of dog patients na infected sa Fargo disease.
"No problem, just don't let her wander outside your house let her rest, she needs a lot of rest for her recovery." Sagot ko.
Masayang itong tumango bago lumabas na ng clinic.
Bumuntong hininga ako bago umupo sa swivel chair, my vision wanders around my clinic, medyo malaki ito kase it was my brother who build this for me. Gusto n'ya daw yung wide space area and he also made sure na it's very comfortable for me stay for the night.
My clinic is well clean and organized ang mga gamit, kakatapos ko lang kahapon sa appointed surgery ng dog patient ko, the surgery was successful so i received lots of praises because it was cancer stage 3.
It's already 3pm and malapit na din ang closing hour ko. I stand up and went to the book shelf, kinuha ko yung science book, yung nasa room 3 four years ago. I read this a thousand times because it brought me a deva ju feeling, pinaghalong lungkot at saya sa tuwing binabasa ko ang mga kabata ng libro, tila ba'y binabalikan ko ang nakaraan.
Ang nakaraang nandito pa s'ya sa Lugar na ito.
I closed the book and left a heavy sigh. Hinilot hilot ko ang sentido bago ipinikit ang mga mata. Nakulangan ako sa sleeping hours since I was working overtime last night because I was conducting a surgery.
"Good afternoon, Doc. We have another patient."
Bungad ng assistant kong si Johan.
"Who is it?" Tanong ko.
"It's a middle aged man po, I don't know his name, he wants to see you personally." Johan replied.
I nodded. "Let him in."
He nodded back bago lumabas.
Maya't maya ay may isang matandang lalake na pumasok mula sa pintoan ko. Base sa mukha nito ay parang pamilyar ang mukha, he looks like a millionaire dahil sa tuxedo nitong sout. Masasabi kong gwapo ito kase maganda ang face features at matangkad din sya. Based on his looks, I don't think he's actually a Filipino.
Tumayo ako bago inilahad ang kamay for a handshake.
"Take a sit, sir. What can I do for you?" Agad kong panimula.
Ngumiti lang ito at may kinuhang covered cat cage.
"This cat has been feeling unwell lately so I thought of bringing him to the vet." He smiled handsomely.
"Okay sir, don't worry I'll check on him right now."
Kinuha ko mula sa kanya ang cat cage, di ko masyadong makita kase may nakatakip na tela. Dahan-dahan kong binuksan ang cage.
My whole body jolted when a familiar cat went outside the cage.
It's an American Curl cat. Bumagal ang paghinga ko, nabuhayan ako ng loob bigla. Ewan ko pero familiar at malakas ang loob kong si Red nga ito.
I don't wanna call him that baka magkamali ako.
Kinuha ko ang mga gamit necessary for checkup. I checked his vital signs, his breathing, his movement, his head, ears and nose baka may infection pero so far wala naman itong nararamdaman except uhaw lang ito ng tubig.
Kinuha ko ang pusa at kinarga patungo sa isang room na kung saan I can check his x-ray baka may fractured bones ito.
After checking the results, this cat is perfectly healthy and malakas din itong kumain. He's not unwell because he's perfectly fine.
Bumalik ako kung saan ang matandang lalaki at inilagay sa check up table.
"Ah sir, your cat is perfectly fine. I checked his vitals signs, his bones and insides. He seems to be doing so well, his organs system are healthy, he doesn't have infection and he's already a vaccinated cat." Pahayag ko sa lalake.
Tumango ito at ngumiti ng napakalawak. Is he somehow expecting me to know something? I feel like may something don sa mga ngiti n'ya.
"Uhm sir may I ask about your name, I have to put it on my records especially your pet's name too." I said grabbing a pen.
His lips formed an 'O'. "I am Castro Hundy Sulvan. I don't know what this pet's name because I am not actually the real owner of this cat."
Tumango ako. Sulvan? Sulvan? Wait bat' magkaparehas sila ng pangalan sa Unibersidad na Sulvan University? May kaugnayan ba ito sa kanya?
"Uhmm sir? Are you perhaps the owner of Sulvan University?" Me being hesitant to ask him.
Umayos ito ng upo at ngumiti sa akin for the third time. But much wider this time.
"Sadly I'm not the owner young lady, because the owner of it is actually my wife." Nakangiting sagot n'ya.
I nodded. So this man is indeed a rich one. Di ko masyadong nakita ang dean ng university noon kase palagi itong out of town or out of the country. The dean was a super busy woman.
My attention diverted when man named Castro gave me 20K worth of money. Pilit ko itong ibinalik.
"No sir, you don't have to pay me. I didn't do anything." Ngiti ko.
He shook his head. "You used your devices to check this cat so I am thankful of you trying."
Something is telling me na I shouldn't give this back to him. His aura is almost same as Cassandra's aura before as far as I remember. One thing for sure, I can't win against it.
Sinuklian ko nalang ito ng ngiti. "This is too much but I don't wanna be rude so I'm grateful and thank you so much, sir." I bowed down.
He smiled at me again. "You're always welcome. I finally got to meet you, Lee Subin. We'll be seeing each other more often now."
He said then closes the door behind him.
