~WILL POV~

Mike takes my right hand then leads me out. He tells me to sit on the back of his bike as it's safer than trying to ride one handed. I feel excitement and curiosity overtake my thoughts.

Where the hell is he taking me?

"Mike, where are we going?" I shout as I hold his waist while he rides into the distance.

"It's umm it's a surprise." He shouts back.

I role my eyes. The path he is taking us on. It's familiar. Way too familiar. I've been on it before. I feel the wind gush past me as exhilaration flows through me.

What are me and him now?

Eventually, he tells me to get off the bike as we both head into the woods.

"Close your eyes." He says trying to hide the grin on his face.

"What?" I ask confused.

"You heard me. Close them." In this instruction he comes behind me and uses his hands to cover my eyes. He leads me deeper into the woods. After approximately ten minutes he stops. .

"Okay so umm I wanted to do something nice. I know I basically confessed my love for you in-front of everyone... which is highly embarrassing but I feel like it isn't enough. I wanted to do something more." I hear his voice shake.

He was nervous because of me?

"Mike. We have already settled I have forgiven. How can I not? You are the best thing that has ever happened to me." I smile as his hands still cover my eyes.

"Yeah yeah but still. Umm remember our fight. A year or so ago. When I said something really stupid. You know in the rain..." His voice softens in sorry.

"Uhh...yeah of course I do I mean. You didn't mean it tho and it's fine it didn't really effect me." I stutter.

That was a lie. It messed with my head. The words he said that night never really left my head. It's kind of always stuck with me. I know he didn't mean it but it destroyed me. But, things have changed. Me and Mike are stronger than ever.

Why is he bringing it up?

"Well umm i think that night maybe my words did effect you more than you are letting me know. Umm either way I wanted to show you how things have changed between us since then. Things are different now." He releases his hands from my eyes.

As I open my eyes, I feel my heart bloom at the sight of what is in front of me. Butterflies flood all over my body as I beam. I feel my eyes well with tears of joy. I look towards Mike, who is blushing as he looks down, then back at the scene.

He fixed it.

He fixed castle byers.

"You didn't- you didn't" I feel my face blush with bliss; the smile I have grows.

"I- umm it really wasn't that hard to do. I just I dunno I thought maybe-" he stumbles in shyness scratching his head as shares a gracious grin with me.

Before he even finishes his sentence, I bury myself in his arms: squeezing him tight. I feel a warm fire brew inside my stomach as he gently hugs back. He softly rubs my back.

"I love you." I merrily sob. "I love you so much." I smile in his arms.

He separates himself from me and looks me directly in the eyes as he says the following. "I love you too Will byers. I will always love you." He wipes my tears and kisses my forehead. "Always." He whispers.
