Tris POV

I arrive at school ten minutes early and step out of Christina's car. She claimed that it's our senior year and we've never drove together much as girls, so today all of us girls got picked up by Christina for school.

We walk into school and I feel like all eyes are on me. I hear whispers from every direction.

I finally get to my locker and Tobias walks up to me and shuts my locker. I glare up at him and kick him in the shin.

"Get away from me." I say.

People walk past us and either grin, whisper or point.

"It's about time you two got together!" Someone shouts.

"We aren't together!" I exclaim.

Tobias glares at the kid and walks up to him. He whispers something to the boy and the boy immediately walks away.

"Look at what you did! People are assuming we are dating and it will never stop!" I shout at him.

"We're really going back to this?" He asks. "It's your fault too!"

"Why'd you even come up to me?" I ask.

"To continue our fight, stupid." He says.

I roll my eyes and walk towards homeroom. Tobias follows behind me.

"Hey Tris, is it true that you and Four finally came to your senses?" A girl asks me.

I give her a confused look.

"What do you mean?" I ask, irritated.

"I mean that you guys finally realized that your perfect for each other!" She says, squealing.

"That's bullshit. We're not dating." Tobias says.

The girl grins and walks away.

"What is she talking about?" I ask.

"Nothing. It's just a bunch of shit." Tobias says.

He walks into homeroom and I follow. I sit down and turn my chair away from Tobias.

After homeroom, I head to Spanish.

"Hey Tris!" Will says.

I smile and sit down. The whiteboard says that we have the week off because our teacher is away.

"I got asked by a couple people this morning if you and Four were dating." Shauna says.

I put my head on the desk and groan.

"We already got asked twice." I say.

"What do you mean 'we'?" Will asks.

They pull their chairs closer and wait for me to respond.

"Four fucking came up to me this morning to continue our fight in the middle of the hallways. He made it seem more confusing to other people so some kids made comments." I explain.

"It'll blow over. Some other thing will occur and everyone will forget about you and Four." Will says.

"I hope so." I say. "We were fighting for a while last night until I couldn't handle it anymore and kicked him out."

"So you guys are still fighting?" Shauna asks.

I nod.

"He's an ass." I state.

Shauna and Will share a look.

"He's not an ass, Tris." Will says.

"You and Tobias are both our friends. You guys would be really good friends if you didn't fight all the time." Shauna says.
