39. A night of fun Part 1

Max's POV

    We made it back to his house and Bull was waiting for us at the front door. He walked down the steps when Danual shut off the engine. Then he asked if we needed any help with anything and Danual pointed to the back as he helped me out of my seat. Bull opened up the back and started filling his arms with the bags of stuff we had gotten. Those two grabbed everything, there wasn't that much and nothing for me to carry. I opened the door for them and we went inside.

    Everything was put on the kitchen table so it could be put away. After I had closed the door I took off my shoes. When I got close to the kitchen I hear Wolf and Danual talking so I stayed out of sight so I could listen in on there conversation.

Wolf; "Thanks for the note by the way. When we got up we went in to his room and he wasn't there. I thought he would have been with us or in his room. But when he wasn't I sniffed around and could smell the fresh coffee so we came down here and found that note. Him not being near us almost sent my mate in to a panic attack."

Danual; "Sorry about that. I didn't know you guys worried about him that much. He was safe with me. He got up early like normal and we talked. He thought it would be nice to give you guys a brake today so I took him out for breakfast and to pick up a couple of thing."

Wolf; "Yea, well, he's my pup now and we do worry about him a lot. And it's not just about fixing stuff ether. We really care for the kid. Like he is really our son. And this was just out of the norm for him. So we did get worried about him. But your note helped. So thanks for that. I'm going to go get Husky now."

Danual; "You do know how old he is, don't you? Has he told you?"

Wolf; "No, not really. Did he tell you?"

Danual; "Not really. He said that what ever age he looks like, that's how old he is right then. But then he said something odd. Something about being every age in every age. And he said something like he's a couple of hundred yeas old. And if that's true, then he's older then all of us combined. And that kid of yours can take care of himself."

    I was about to walk in right then. But then Wolf started talking again. And I was glad I didn't.

Wolf; "A couple hundred years old? That... that don't matter. Me and Husky talked about the possibility that he was older then us and we don't care. If that's true then it just makes what we talked about even more important. We decided that if he want's to stay a little kid forever, then we will be his daddies forever. And if he wants to grow up, then we will still be his daddies. We don't care how old he looks, he will always be our kid from now on. And that means we will always worry about him. He shouldn't have had to take care of himself without us there to help. So next time, if there is a next time, please wake one of us up so we know and don't freak out. We're not mad at you. And we know he's safe with you. And even if you were to just wake one of us up and say you were taking him to town for breakfast we would have let him go with you. We trust you and Max trusts you. Just next time save me a headache and my mate some stress and tell us you're taking him. Please."

Danual; "Got it and will do. And tell your mate that I'm sorry too. Also tell him that the beers are on my tonight. That's part of the reason Max wanted to go to the store with me. To surprise you guys. So act surprised when he tells you."

    I walked in with tears in my eyes and walked right to my daddy. I hugged him and said. "I sorry too. I didn't meant to worry you. I just thought that all of you needed to have some time off. And thought I would surprise you with some adult drinks so you could relax tonight. I was even planing on going to bed early so you two could have some alone time. I know you haven't had really any and I thought you might want some."
