YOUR POV
You had never expected that you would miss him as much as you did. Ever since the break-up, you thought that you would get over him just like that, but you didn't. Instead, it hurt more than you could ever imagine, but there was simply nothing you could do about it.
The two of you promised to never talk about your relationship again, in fear of what would happen to the group if you two came out. During your freshman year of high school, you and Han started dating after finally admitting your feelings to each other, feelings that had been going on for years.
The guys had always teased you about how you two already act like a couple, always feeding each other, holding hands, and even walking to school and back home together.
But nobody was a bigger tease about it than Lee Know, constantly calling you your ship name whenever the two of you were acting like a couple. You never saw it like that because you treated all the guys like that. Simply because you were the mom of the group, they saw it as something else.
Then, it got you thinking: Han was not at all bad. If anything, he was the perfect boyfriend for you. He was smart, funny, romantic, clingy, which you liked because you needed a lot of attention, and he always took good care of you.
That's when you started to get feelings for him, and before you knew it, you admitted it to him on New Year's Eve. He admitted to having feelings for you too, only holding it back because he thought you would find it weird. You both laughed it off, and just as the ball had dropped, the night ended with a kiss.
Since then, the two of you have been inseparable. Everywhere you went, Han went with you and vice versa. Everyone saw it as normal because the two of you already did everything together. As a part of that, you both decided to keep the relationship away from the guys, just so if anything were to happen, the friendship would still be there and only the two of you would have to deal with the awkwardness. And boy did something happen.
In your sophomore year of high school, right before you were about to go on summer break, he decided to end things. Why? You had no idea. He didn't give you an answer but simply walked away like it was the easiest thing for him to do. The day after, he asked you to pretend that everything was fine for the sake of the friend group you guys were a part of.
When you asked him why, he said that he didn't want the two of you to stop being friends and that he didn't want the guys to feel like they had to choose between hanging out with one of you over the other. It made sense, and you liked the fact that he thought about the friendship that you guys had for over 7 years over a 1 year relationship.
Now, with only a few more months left of school, you don't know why your feelings came crawling back out of the dark while you were keeping them in. You didn't know what even triggered it, but one day, when you were hanging out with the guys, he came a little late, and the sight of him made your heart flutter the way it used to when you were together.
It was completely unexpected, and all he had to do was walk into the room for you to fall in love with him all over again.
But here you were now, sitting at the school lunch table, pretending nothing had happened between the two of you, as you talked about prom.
"Do you know who you're taking to prom, (Y/N)?" Seungmin asks, jolting you out of your reverie. You focus your attention on Seungmin and the others in the group.
"Um, no, not yet. I'm tempted to ask someone, but I doubt he'll say yes." You absentmindedly glance up at Han as the words leave your mouth. The moment you say it, you regret it. They were going to bother you about it, and you were not in the mood to put up with it.
