YOUR POV
I.N., Savanna High's very own bad boy. With his skull tattoo, his distant nature, anger problems, nasty attitude, and reputation for flings with countless girls, he was still liked by everyone at the school.

It never made sense to you why your paths crossed, especially in your senior year where everything just seemed to be getting more and more stressful by the day. It was so random; not once did you ever think that you two would come into each other's lives the way it did.

He was a transfer student, and when he showed up, the new kid in town with his little brother, his big ego, and suddenly? Senior year just didn't seem like it was going to be so bad anymore.

Every girl in Savanna High wanted to be on his arm, even the good girls. There was not one girl that I.N. wanted that he could not get, and with that, he rose to popularity pretty quickly. Along with the fact that he was basically good at everything, considering sports, getting him a spot on the basketball team, who would not be attracted to him?

You were just a girl in his English class when he just seemed to notice you one day. You had dropped your pencil, and he picked it up, looking behind him to hand it to you when his eyes locked on yours. You instantly felt yourself melt right then and there, looking at his piercing eyes and that smile that accompanied it. He handed you your pencil as you muttered a small thank you, but he continued to look at you.

"What?" You asked him, feeling a bit self-conscious at how long he was looking at you. He asked himself how he had gone this long without realizing that a beautiful girl like you sat right behind him this whole time. You had tried not to blush, but your face forced on an expression you couldn't help. He was cute, and you never really focused on it until then.

You think that was when it had started, this crush or fascination with him. Some part of you wanted to figure him out, find out what made him him, but he wasn't a case for you to crack, nor did you want to fix whatever part of him he had to offer. You were just... curious.

But of course, that's not the way things worked out.

After that interaction in your English class, he started to pursue you. Every alternating day when you had English together, he'd spin his chair around and start talking to you before class started, trying to understand you a little better.

Of course, you didn't give him your whole life story, but you told him about being an older and younger sister, which you kind of bonded with since you were both an older sibling and a younger sibling at once, talked a bit about sports you used to play and why you stopped playing them, and things around that area.

He would try to talk to you too after he was done with practice because in the midst of talking, he found out that you tutored his little brother at school sometimes. He would constantly catch you hanging out by your locker or the library from time to time just to talk with you, ask a few questions, and try to flirt with you. Sometimes he'd even be waiting for you outside in his car if he wasn't on brother pickup duty.

After doing that for about a week, he caught you as you were heading to tutoring because basketball practice was canceled but he knew where you'd be and wanted to ask you out on a date. You were kind of shocked because you honestly hadn't expected it from him of all people. You were in two different social circles, him being more with the athletes and popular kids, and you being more with the academic, well-known, nice kids.

"How about I take you out one of these days?" He had said after he practically cornered you at your locker, leaning against the one next to yours with his hands in his jacket's pocket. You take one glance at him and feel your cheeks burn up at the tension.

"Like on a date?" You ask him. He nods.

"A date, a hangout, whatever you want to call it. Just the two of us somewhere." You smile at him. This was sweet. But you could not get involved, there was absolutely no way, especially now when he has caught your eye and started flirting with you, if you two hanged out one on one, there was no telling where it could go for you.
