"I'm not picking up back up skate home." An annyoyed billy says.
Max gets out the car slamming the door.
She walks in the arcade.
"Shit" max says digging her pockets so she can play another round of dig dug. She realises shes already spent all her money.
Max admires her name MAD MAX set at the highest score on DIGDUG at 751,300 points.
Before grabbing her skateboard and skating home.
Max makes it to old cherry road and as she notices 2 Hawkin police cars parked outside of her house. Maxs head rushed with thoughts as she speeds up on her skateboard.
She runs up the drive to her house and see saw a tall man with a cheifs hat on standing in front of a crying stepdad and her mom comforting him.
"Max! " her mom calls out in wary cries max walks up to her and Neil.
"Mom, is everyrhing okay?"
"Its Billy, h-he he-" Her mom burst tears.
"Ahh" max jumps up from her bed startled awake from her dream
I look over at the time its 6:30 am I let out a sigh realising ive woken up before my alarm. Knowing I wont be able to go back to sleep I get gotta bed. I walk into the bathroom to start my daily routine.
"Hummm" I let out another deep sigh looking at my self in the grimy mirror. Im not use to waking up this early so I'm still tried. I also really dont wanna see lucas not after yesterday.
Max begans to replay the faint memory of her dream. She shakes her trying to forget it. She runs the sink cuffing some cold water in her hands before throwing it on her face to wake herself up.

She walk out out the bathroom to pick out her outfit she puts on a colorful striped shirt and some blue jeans she grabs her gray jacket before walking out the door. To cover the now dark purple blue bruises on her wrist.

Once I make it to school I go straight to Mr. Clarkes class to avoid having to see Lucas in the hallway. I know I can't avoid him forever. We do have our first class together but I don't wanna see him right now.
The school day went by pretty quick its the end of the day and max seems to suceesfully avoided Lucas.
*RINNGGG* the final bell goes off max rushes to her locker.
As max opens her locker and folder piece of paper falls out.
I reach in my locker to grab my skateboard. Slamming it shut before picking the folded paper up off the ground. I Anazlying the front then flip it to the back. Letters read L.S on the back on the paper. Max scoffles before walking over to the trash can throwing the paper away.

"Lucas!" i heard a voice yell in my ear.
"Erica." Lucas flutters his eyes open.
"Mom told you to get up 20 minutes ago so get it up!" Erica says walking out of lucas room.
Lucas grunts making an unaudiable sound before turning over putting his pillow over his head.

He soon tumbles outta bed he looks over to his clock it reads 7:00 am. "shit." he mumbles rushing to get ready.
"Goodmorning honey." his mom greets him.
"Goodmorning." Lucas says rushing out of the door.
On his ride to school he couldnt stop thinking about max and how he could apologise for theyre fight yesterday.
"Ha." I heard a laugh and snapped outta my thoughts. I musted have really zoned out becasue I even noticed mike and dustin riding beside me.
We bike up to the school and put out bikes in the bike rack. "You okay lucas?" Mike asks me.
"Yea" I give him a ressuring nod.
"Well you just seemed a little off on the bike ride."
"Im just still a little tired." Which is mostly true but I just can't get my mind off max.
Mike nods and we walk up the school.
I look around the hallway for max. I don't see her. She usually gets here the same time we do maybe she just running late. I lean against my locker to wait for her. I need to see her I need to apologize. "Hmm" I sigh looking up the hallway for like the fifth time I don't see max. I lift my back of the cold ridget locker. I make my away to Mr. Clarke's room. I walk into his room I see max sitting at her desk with her skateboard at her side. We share a glance but she quick tears her eyes away from mine looking off to the side. I take my seat in the front of the class next to dustin.
I look back at max multiple times throughout the class to try an get her attention. But it was no luck. Her eyes were plastered on Mr Clarke the entire time.

"What are you writing?" Dustin asks pulling a sandwhich out of his bag.
Me, Dustin and mike sit in the av room eating lunch.
"Just a few notes I forgot to writing down in class." I say it was clearly a lie but Dustin just nods his head and doesn't question it.
The note was for max I've been trying to get her attention all day but she ignoring me the note says met me at the arcade after school. If she won't talk to me at school maybe at the arcade that her favorite place. She usually goes there after school anyways.
I I wrote L.S on so shell know it me. I figured if she saw 'Lucas' on the papers she immediately get rid of it. so I wrote L.s so she'll read the note then later figure out it me.
I fold the paper up and put it in my pocket.
"Where's will?" I look at mike who as sitting across from me. I've been so worried about max I hadn't even realised will didn't come to school today.
