Anaya's POV

Again stuck in the traffic. I don't wanna be late, well I'm not late but still.

I want to meet... Aaahh!

I opened the window of my car and turned. "Will you stop honking? It's irritating." I yelled at the person who was continuously honking.

I sat back in my position and oh! The traffic is clearing.

And here after another 15 minutes, I'm out of it. But it's already 05:45 pm. I've to be there before 6.

Oh well, I didn't realise that I haven't introduced myself yet...

I'm Anaya, Anaya Awasthi. Currently, I'm very happy with my life. I live in Bangaluru, known as Banglore previously. I have a well-paid, stable, 9-to 5 job, a home of my own and a lovely daughter. I have no less no more.

Oh! And I'm here, that too on time.
I parked my car carefully, unbuckled my seat belt and got down.

I am currently standing in front of a school building. But my mind is continuously thinking about the pending work I have kept for tomorrow.

Suddenly I hear a voice, "Mumma!!!" As soon as I diverted my gaze towards the direction of the sweet voice, little arms wrapped around my legs.

(Mom!!!)

I chuckled and picked my lovely daughter up in my arms. Aisha. My adorable 6 years old daughter.

As soon as I picked her up, she hugged me tightly. I too reciprocated. We broke the hug. Her teacher, and her warden during the day boarding, approached me.

"Good evening Ms Awasthi."

"Good evening Mrs Anand."

"I must say that your child is very innovative and artistic. Today she again made some new pieces of art, stunning all of us."

"This is something that Aishu is like her mother," I replied chuckling.

We were talking about Aisha's performance in school and behaviour during her boarding when I felt a little finger poking me on my shoulder. I looked and found my daughter, still in my arms, staring at me with a cute pout. I got the message. I bid goodbye to her teacher, Mrs Anand and took Aisha to the car.

She was continuously blabbering about how her day went. Nothing was new. She repeated that as she was now in 1st Grade, she has a lot of homework, well that's not what I believe. She then continues saying that she again fought with a group in her class, and she again spent the rest of the day with her best friend. Despite hearing this daily, I still love it when she shares about her day with me.

Once we settled in the car, I started to drive. This was when I noticed my daughter seeing me through her puppy eyes. I chuckled and asked her, "What do you want Aishu?"

She squealed and hugged me tightly. I somehow managed not to lose control over the car. She said, "I loveee you, maa. I want to eat ice cream..."

I chuckled and nodded in disbelief. But still, who could resist those cutest puppy eyes? I ended up buying a family pack of chocolate flavour ice cream for the two of us. She loves to eat chocolate.

We reached home and I put the ice cream in the freezer. I helped Aishu to get freshen up. After that, I too got to freshen up. I helped Aishu to complete her homework and learn for her tests while cooking dinner for us. After that, we watched our favourite show while having dinner. After that, we spent some quality time with each other doing something we love which is mostly drawing or finding out new recipes to try. After that, I made her sleep in the room and once she slept, I went to do some of my office's work and completed it within an hour and slept with Aishu.

Yeah, that's my routine. I wake up at the same time as Aishu, we get ready and we talk a lot when I cook breakfast and pack our lunch. We have our breakfast and then I pack the tiffin boxes while she packs her bag. Once done, we leave together and I drop her at her day boarding school and then leave for my office. After the office, our day goes as it went today. Just no ice creams every day.

For the weekends, we have many plans. Like, watching a movie; visiting friends, either her or mine; going shopping; dining out and many more.

I'm happy. I'm happy cause Aishu is happy. I'm happier that we both are with each other.

What else could I wish for?

Well, I'm tired now. Good Night.

Abhimanyu's POV

And done.

Finally!!

I've recently applied for a job and in the interview, I got selected. Tomorrow is my first day there and I want it to be perfect. I know, I know that I'm behaving like a child getting ready for the first day of school but it is no less. This is my dream job.

And I now realise that I haven't introduced myself.
I'm Abhimanyu. New in Bangaluru. Before this, I used to work in Delhi. And no one in the family.

And I don't find it an issue. It's fine. I'll soon get one when the time comes. You know what I'm speaking right?

Anyways, I can't say anything about my routine. It's a mess. But I know it will be okay soon. At present, I'm happy that I got my dream job. And I was literally dancing when I got the message about being selected.

I believe in being happy with the smallest of things. And that's what I do. And trust me, that feels good. I'm happy with all I've earned, that to on my own.

Anyways, I don't wanna be late tomorrow.

Good night.
