Anaya's POV
"HOW DARE HE!!" Abhi yelled for the... Umm... I've lost count, time.
"Abhi... Relax! I told him no na..." I said but with whom I'm trying to reason.
"No Anaya!! I mean- How could he even do THAT???" He screamed at last again.
And I sighed for the umpteenth time.
"Abhi, come on! Don't be a kid. He didn't even know about us and-" I was interrupted.
"He needs to learn a lesson!" He declared while walking out.
Like "declared" declared, not said but declared.
"Wait what?" He paid no attention to me and walked out of the house.
I was about to go behind him but then I remembered I cannot do that. I cannot leave Aishu alone over here.
I sighed, again.
It's fine! He'll be normal once he comes back. Just give him some time.
Wondering what has happened?
Lemme start from the start!
2 weeks have passed since Aishu's birthday and we have been enjoying it a lot.
Today was just another normal day except when he did that.
So one of my colleagues, Rahul, came to me during the break. He, out of nowhere, pulled out a rose and kneeled in front of me making me shocked.
At that time, I was more scared for him. I've seen Abhi being possessive a few times before. Very simply, like pulling me closer to him while walking just to make sure others know that I am with him, or deliberately asking Aishu to call us together if he sees someone even eyeing me, etcetera.
It's actually their pact now. Whenever someone starts checking me out, they do this.
But all that was really minor.
Today this guy had the guts to literally propose to me in front of everyone. Of course he isn't aware about my relationship with Abhi but how can he even dream that I would say yes when we barely talk to each other?
But not thinking about all this at that moment, I was more scared about Abhi's reaction. He was literally standing in front of me and damn that death stare he was giving to Rahul.
If stares could kill, Rahul would have been dead by now!
I saw him moving towards us and I panicked. However, before Abhi could reach us, I handled the situation and politely refused.
As if he had a death wish, he started insisting that I give US a chance. Us?
Sensing Abhi's anger and in order to save a life, I shooed Rahul away.
Though it wasn't exaggerated anymore, Abhi was super-duper angry at Rahul. Even though he was very angry, he, like a gentleman he is, did not shout at me even once and nor did he behave not-so-normal and grumpy, he took care of me like he does everyday.
And once Aishu went into her room to change after we reached home, he started venting out all his anger.
He was literally cursing him.
There were points I was about to laugh but not in a mood to spoil his mood which already isn't good.
And the rest is history...

It has been 4 days since that proposal took place and only a few things have changed.
Though Abhi is now very normal and happy, he remains very, very grumpy in the office especially around Rahul.
Currently, I am sitting in my cubicle and glancing again and again at Abhi's cubicle. It has been long since he left for some 'reason' which I'm not aware of yet.
Soon, our break commences. Roaming around, I began searching for him. But he was nowhere to be seen.
I started walking towards the centre of the office, where we usually chit-chat, and saw Abhi there. I smiled and started walking towards him.
He saw me coming towards him smiling and so he reciprocated my smile.
As soon as I reached him, he went on his knees, confusing me.
Literally everyone went silent and was staring at us.
I cannot handle being the centre of attention which actually happened a few days ago... And what the hell is he doing?
Smiling at me, he pulled out a box, definitely of a ring, making my heartbeats go crazy.
He held the ring in his hold and took a deep breath. He looked at me again with his heart warming smile and started saying the words I dreamt of but never thought would be said to me by someone.
"I remember how I had a crush on you literally when we met. I remember the feelings and emotions I had when I started liking you. I remember my happiness when I realised that I love you. I... Mujhe yaad hai jab tumne mujhe aur mere pyaar ko thukraya tha but trust me I never was angry at you for this. You just made me feel proud of my choice."
(... I remember you rejecting me and my love...)
He said, and I did not even realize that tears started falling from my eyes.
"I remember the feeling when my happiness had no bounds because you confessed. Because I got the woman I love... Now, though it might not be very long, I want this...
In my life, I just want one thing, a lovely family. And It's just you who can give me that. Just you. It's just you with whom I can visualise my future with. It's just you and Aishu with whom I can spend the rest of my life. Words are less so I'll cut it short. Marry me simply because I love you. I truly, truly love you. Will you give me the honour to become your husband and to become Aishu's fa- papa?" Saying so he pulled out the ring and opened the box in front of me.
By the time he completed, I was crying as hell. He might have expressed his love in so many ways. But today, it felt different. It was different.
I reminisced every moment I spent with him and each one of them was special. Each one of them was unique.
Being with him was never like neglecting Aishu as per what I feared. It was quite the opposite.
It was, is and will be US! Always.
"Come on his knees might hurt!" I heard Kanika behind me and I chuckled.
I nodded in a yes and everyone screamed with joy. Abhi gave me the widest possible smile and slid the ring in my finger. As soon as he did that, I felt rose petals falling on us.
That's when I realised that Kanika is too involved in this.
