Anaya's POV
"You're slow mumma!" Aishu said and I dramatically gasped at her words.
"Nuh-uh girlie! And if you really think so, why dont you do this instead?" And this was all it took to drain out all the colours on her face. "Uhmm YES PAPA? He is uh... He is calling me! Ill join you later mumma." And with this she hopped off the bed and ran towards mine and Abhis room, leaving me chuckling at her. Clearly, Abhi did not call her.
Drama queen!
All of it is Abhi's fault though. I seriously had no idea he would be such a great girl dad and pamper her way more than needed. Here I am packing for her, when she should be learning how to do it or at least be helping me out, she is commenting about my speed.
Packing for what? A vacation. After a really really long time, we are preparing to leave for a month-long vacation. Though I was worried about all the pending work the three of us would have to cope with, but, I guess these two know how to convince me. "Anu, we know we can take care of the work" were Abhi's words and ''I'll ask my friend to update me with school work everyday and I'll do it simultaneously.'' said Aisha. And so the three of us applied for a leave.
We will be going to Mumbai and then Goa and then back to home after celebrating Aishu's 8th birthday and mine and Abhi's 2nd marriage anniversary. Second anniversary. Two years of our marriage and two years of being a couple and a family.
Aishu has picked up a good height and her hair is longer and thicker. She has grown up to be more intelligent. Not just in terms of academic validation but in real life situations as well. She never fails to make me feel proud. But that scares me as well. I do have a lot of faith in her, but what if in the near future she gets comparatively less marks? What if she gets too upset and-
Nope! Not going there. I will never make her feel so!
I sigh realising that I was again overthinking. Abhi hates this. He wants me to 'Just live!' But how on earth is it possible for me to 'just live' when this new senior of mine is simply giving me more and more tasks, Aishu has a lot of things to do in school except of studies and then her new obsession of learning guitar, and then this Abhi, he keeps on-
"Done with overthinking?" I am snapped out of my thoughts only to find Abhi leaning on the doorframe and raising his eyebrows, giving me an I-know-whatever-you-are-thinking look.
He has started to keep his hair a bit longer than what used to be his general hairstyle and he also keeps a beard, he says this makes him look more handsome. Well I couldn't agree more. No beard and perfect hair Abhi would look boy-ish in front of this man, who also got spectacles.
He asks me to 'just live' but this person just freaks out at every task given to us. He pressures himself a lot and works till late nights. And due to this, he now has specs. He looks good in them though, well, all thanks to my selection of the frame.
