Confused why am I updating even when the target isn't met yet? Well, simply put, number one, I missed y'all's reactions etc. whenever I posted any new chapter. Secondly, I figured others might have lost interest in the story as I couldn't update for a while. So why make my readers wait?

So here's the chapter!

I would still appreciate it a ton if y'all could meet the target even now.

So without any further delay, here's the chapter.

Anaya's POV

"I can't do this anymore!" I heard Abhimanyu whispering, almost as if he was talking to himself.

I decided to ignore it but my curious self couldn't hold back and I neared him. "What's wrong?" I whispered very near to his ear and gave him a jumpscare.

I laughed out loud but soon I realised the seriousness of the situation. He didn't relax even after I started to laugh.

"Ai? What happened?" I tried to lighten his mood with a squeaky voice but it didn't work. He sighed and pulled me closer through my waist with one of his arms. His other arm wrapped around my shoulder, pulling me into a hug. He hid his face in the crook of my neck and sighed.

"What's wrong Abhi?" I asked, hugging him back. He decided not to give me any reply and to stay as it is. I gave him the time he needed by staying in the hug and rubbing his back.

I felt nothing but helpless. He is definitely not okay and I don't know what is bothering him so much.

He broke the hug after a while and looked at me.

"What happened?" I asked softly to which he sighed and shook his head. "Oye! Don't you dare lie to me ha!" I said with fake sternness. He chuckled ever so slightly and his lips turned into a sad grin.

"It's just-" He started, "I- It is all messed up!" I remained silent, waiting for him to continue. But instead of that, he removed his specs and sat on the chair of the dinning table we were standing near to.

"What is wrong Abhi?" I asked while moving closer to him. I rubbed his back and hugged him to which he reciprocated and snuggled in my chest. "I am not able to do this job Anu." He finally expressed.

"I know this all might sound senseless. All of it might have. But I am tired of this. I know this was my dream job. I know I am supposed to be happy this way. B-But I am not! I am worn out. It... It is so monotonous. And then... I just have no idea what is happening with me!"

I rubbed his back as he further snuggled, his arms tightening around my waist. I gave him a kiss over his hairs and said, "It's okay Abhi! It is not wrong. Everything will be okay. You can find yourself whatever job you want. It's okay if you want to change your job. It's totally fine."
