Anaya's POV
"Am I adopted?" She asked again and her voice raised a little this time.
"Yes..." A whisper left my mouth and I broke my own heart.
This shouldn't have happened!
A loud sob broke out from her throat and fresh tears made their way out from her eyes. I hated this!
"You should have informed me! I should have known this... Ho-" Her voice broke and she ran away towards the front door. Before I could call her back or do anything, she was out of my sight.
"Ai-Aishu!?" I called out but it was already late.
I was terrified. She was going to leave me. She might leave me forever. She will hate me for not telling her the truth from the very start. She will...
"No... NO!" I screamed pushing all the voices to the back of my head and ran towards the door. She has to know my reason. She is too young.
But before I could get more than a step or two ahead, a firm grip on my arm stopped me from moving further. I turned my head towards Abhi and glared him while my eyes were still glassy. "Abhi what are you doing? Aisha is out alone. Sh-She needs me Abhi!"
"Look at yourself first Anu!" He yanked me towards him. "I'll go behind her but you please stay here and get yourself together. Okay?" He said and I somewhere knew he was right.
"Hmmm" I hummed while nodding as I wiped my tears with the back of my hand.
Abhi cupped my face with both of his hands and gave me a quick peck on my forehead and rushed out of the house.
Sitting on the couch, I dropped my head on my hands. I should have been more careful about the papers when I decided to tell Aishu about the adoption thing only once she turned 18.
I just hope she comes back safe and sound.

Abhimanyu's POV
I had to stop Anu from going behind Aishu. I couldn't let her go out behind a at present very emotionally delicate Aishu when she herself was vulnerable.
As soon as I ran out of the house, I frantically began looking for Aisha and just I few moments later something clicked me and I instantly knew where I'll find our daughter. I rushed towards the colony's park and directly went to its other end as soon as I entered there without even glancing at any other area.
Please be there! Please be there! Please be right there!
I kept repeating this until I got to the other end of the park and relief washed through me as soon as I saw a little head, back-facing me, peeking above the backrest of the bench which was back-facing me.
