Anaya's POV
"Abhi is about to give a resignation to boss." Kanika's words echoed in my ears and my smile vanished.
I need to confront and confess to Abhi before he gives his resignation because, what if it's because of me.
I ran towards where I could find him and I was right. He was about to enter the boss's cabin when I called him.
"Abhi!"
He turned towards me with a bewildered face and I controlled my laugh.
He wouldn't have expected me at all!
But the very next moment I was angry.
How can he give resignation, and if he is giving one, how dare he not tell me?
I angrily marched towards him, held his hand and dragged him to a place where we could have a word without interruption.
"Anaya... Wh-What are you doing? I need to talk to the boss." He said.
I scoffed.
"For what?" I enquired.
"Umm... Ah... Re-registration!" He answered hesitantly not looking into my eyes.
"For what reasons? At least you should have informed me... I'm your friend!" I said softening my tone.
He looked at me instantly. "I... I'm sorry!" He said after a pause and again diverted his gaze.
I sighed!
"Why are you giving this resignation? Is there any... 'Invalid' reason?" I said and I know he knows what I meant by invalid.
"N-No... No! I don't think that the reason is invalid..." He exclaimed and whispered the last sentence which I fortunately heard.
"What do you mean by 'You don't think...'? Does that mean that it can be invalid? Just tell me the reason!!" I said.
He sighed and closed his eyes.
"Please!!" I requested and he looked towards me and then nodded in a yes.
"I... *Sighs* I don't want to make you uncomfortable... I literally came to your house while I was drunk and con-confessed again and made you uncomfortable... I didn't even have second thoughts that you have a six-year-old in your house... Plus I spoiled your time with Aishu... I... You don't even know how guilty I'm feeling... This shouldn't have happened! I shouldn't have confessed again when you said 'No!'! I shouldn't have made you uncomfortable! I shouldn't have entered your house when I was drunk!" He said the last part in a go, looking straight into my eyes.
