The Catch Up

It was warm outside in LA. All the girls had on short and tank tops while the more dudes on the streets didn't wear shirts. At the Reeves residence, the air conditioning was blowing, Ryan was in the backyard barbecuing while Jasmine was in the kitchen making Lemonade for the teenagers upstairs, making alcohol beverages for the adults that were on their way over.

Upstairs Kelly was sitting on the floor of her bedroom with her friends. She looked the same but her hair was a little longer and she looked a little older. Her leg wasn't in a cast anymore, but she was wearing a brace for her knee, and she has been for many months. She even going to physical therapy since she got out the cast. Hopefully soon after the last few sessions, she would be able to dance again and finally get back at the ALDC.

The ALDC has been on her mind since the incident but not in a good way. Once she got hurt, they abandoned her. Nia and Maddie were the only two to keep in touch with her. Kelly kept up with them. They did good in LA. They would have done better if Kelly was still there. It has been a year since Kelly left.

"Does it hurt when you straighten it all the way?" Tyler asked as Kelly stretched her knee.

Kelly shook her head. "No. It hasn't hurt in a while. Sometimes my mom things my knee died" she chuckled, and they laughed.

"So, if you're cleared to dance, what will you do?" Kameron asked while stretching with her.

"We will get to that when the time comes. It might involve you all" she smirked, and they raised an eyebrow at her. She just smiled innocently.

A few blocks over, the ALDC was practicing for the group dance this weekend. Since Kelly left, things were still the same and some things were different. Abby still favored Maddie and the other girls always got the bad wrath of Abby whenever their moms did something that she didn't like but the things that were different was that Holly didn't have her partner anymore. No one else to defend Nia because those moms surely weren't going too. Brynn was also back. She was brought in to replace Kelly. The other bad thing was the show lost a lot of fans once Kelly left.

Holly and Nia went over to Kelly's place all the time. The small amount of times Nia got a solo, she would go over, and Kelly would help her with it. They maintained their friendship and Kelly made a promise that she would never let her revenge get in the way of that.

Maddie and Kelly talked but not as much as before since Maddie was busy with all the jobs she's been booking, and Kelly has been recovering. They're still friends, just not best friends.

The other girls and Kelly are a different story. They don't talk at all. Not even following each other on social media. Once the season's episodes released, they all got hate. Especially Kendall and Jill. There was speculation that it was Kendall that injured Kelly and they could be right. The only ones who know what happened were the girls that were behind her which were Maddie, Nia, Kendall and Jojo.

The kids decided to go downstairs and go to the studio. Kelly slid onto the floor, leaning against the wall that was huge mirror. Tyler and Vincent sat next to her while the girls danced around. Kelly smiled watching them and Tyler nudged her a bit.

"You, ok?" he asked, and she nodded as Vincent looked over at them.

"I just miss dancing" she said and shrugged. "Hopefully soon, I can dance again" she stood up and walked to the middle of the floor.

All her friends watched as she turned on her good leg, slowly lifted her other leg up. That was the first time she's did any dance moves since she got hurt and she was still amazing at it. She put her leg down and stopped turning.

"That hurt a little" she sighed sitting back down. Tyler rubbed her back and the girls continued doing a routine they made up.

"food's ready" Jasmine said standing in the doorway.

The kids left the studio and went outback to eat. Kelly greeted her aunt and her cousins, sitting down next to Patience.

"So how have you been Kelly?" her aunt asked.

"I'm doing good. Just waiting to be cleared" she smiled, and they started talking and just laughing with each other.

An hour later, the teens were walking down the sidewalk, going to a nearby gas station to go get some slushes. Kelly made them after Tyler and Vincent said they never tried them before. That was unacceptable. They walked in and Kelly pulled them to the slush machine.

"Here they have Coca cola, blue raspberry or bubblegum" Kelly told them while getting the blue raspberry one.

Tyler got Coca Cola while Vincent got the bubblegum one. They got some snacks and Kelly paid for them. The bell on the door of the store rang and Kelly looked over seeing Nia and Kendall. She looked away and took her receipt walking out the gas station before being stopped by fans.

"Can we get a picture?" They asked and she nodded taking a photo with them.

"Hey Kelly" she heard and turned to see Nia. She smiled and hugged her.

"Hey" she said back and glanced at Kendall looking back at Nia.

"I have to get going before mom freaks out about me being gone to long" she said and Nia gave her another hug before they left.

"I felt a little tension during that exchange" Patience said and Kelly nodded.

"I'm 95% sure the girl with Nia was the one who hurt me" she said and Kayla turned around to go confront Kendall but Kelly grabbed her arm pulling her.

"I don't know for sure. The other girls acted funny with me as well" she sighed. "Anyways, you two like your drinks?" She changed the subject.

"It's good" Vincent said and Tyler agreed.

"It's very good" he said and they went back inside.

"Of course it's good. I said it was and I don't lie" she chuckled and looked in the living room.

"Stop kissing, kids are here" Kelly told her mom and Ryan as they gave each other a peck on the lips. She's been going that ever since she found out about Ryan.

Jasmine and Ryan laughed at her and rolled their eyes going back to their conversation. Once the day ended, Kelly told her friends goodbye and she laid in her bed calling her dad to just talk. They did that a lot more now. Especially since they'll be filming Dance Prodigy in a month if she's cleared to dance. Just the thought of playing father and daughter brought them closer than before if that was possible.

"Get some rest. I'll see you tomorrow. You're coming on set with me tomorrow" Chris said as he saw Kelly falling asleep.

Kelly nodded and blew him a kiss before hanging up and going to bed, excited for the day ahead of her.
