Kelly woke up in a happy mood. It has been the best two weeks in her life. The first week, they performed at an award show for the first time and the second week, she spent it with her dad when they weren't filming and now, she was hopefully going to be able to dance this week. She jumped up and got dressed for a few interviews she had with the Stranger Things cast. The one she was most excited about was Jimmy Fallon. He was fun the first time she went so she was excited to go back with her friends/costars.
"You ready?" Jasmine asked and Kelly nodded, grabbing her phone.
They went to the car, and they were off to start their busy day. She did 3 interviews before going they were on their way to the studio to catch up. They arrived and Kelly went inside, seeing Maddie learning a solo. She waved at her aunt and sat down next to her, stretching.
"Does just Maddie have a solo?" she asked Jackie who shook her head.
"You have one to learn" That made Kelly smile and look at her mom who nodded.
"As long as we do what we did. Practice one day and then rest another" Jasmine said and Kelly nodded.
"I will. I promise. Am I in the group dance too?" she asked as she bent her knee.
"Just a solo. Eventually, we will work our way up to solos and group" Jackie said and Kelly pouted but she understood why. "I also explained to the girls that because we have a lot of members, we will be rotating between the group and solos. Girls that I have solos to won't be in the group and the next week, I'll rotate out, so all girls dance at the competition no matter what"
Kelly nodded and continued to watch Maddie practice her solo before it was her turn. It was titled Angel, and Kelly was love. It was a beautiful lyrical routine and she honestly felt like it was a winning solo but so was Maddie's and she didn't know what Abby had up her sleeve. Speaking of Abby, she was in her studio, introducing the new girls she found to join the team.
"Girls, this is London and her mother Diane" Abby said and the girl waved before standing next to Brynn.
"She will have a solo and she will be in the group dance"
London smiled and Diane nodded with a smirk on her face as she thought about London winning the competition.
"Did you hear about the rumor about Kelly dancing again? I mean she performed for millions of people weeks ago. She's bound to join the dance team Jasmine put together" Kira said.
"I don't want to hear about her!" Abby snapped. "She and that horrific team she created has caused so much drama surrounding the Abby Lee Dance Company! If I hear any one of you mention her or anyone of them again, your kid is done"
The moms all stayed silent, but Jess was just thinking to herself 'how is she threatening us when she barely has a team to threaten'
Back with RFDP, Kelly was watching the group dance while leaning against her aunt's leg. She was supposed to be calling her dad, but she got distracted. The dance was hip hop number called Hit the Floor. The girls were having fun while they were dancing, and she wanted to have fun too. Hopefully soon.
Jasmine stood outside on the phone with Ryan who was supposed to come to the studio to meet her, but he was canceling last minute. She wouldn't have minded if it wasn't for the fact that he couldn't tell her why.
"Ryan it's not a big deal I just want to know why? We haven't been together lately, and Kelly would love to see you" Jasmine said with a sigh as one of the new security guards stood near her. Close enough to intervene if needed but not too close to be all up in her business.
"Something just came up. I promise I'll make it up to the two of you. I have to go" he hung up and Jasmine rolled her eyes.
"I should have stuck with girls" she mumbled and shook her head going inside.
