Kelly got out of the car with her mom and aunt before going inside to look at the studio and looking around. Kelly had the biggest smile on her face as she took it all in. It was perfect. There were many studios, a food area, a room for people who want to come in to just relax. It was what she envisioned.
"It's perfect" she said, looking at her mom and Jackie who nodded.
"It really is" Jasmine agreed. "So what now?"
"We have to start hiring people. I've been taking applications since the building was almost done. I just need yall to help me choose the final people" Jackie went and grabbed a huge pile of papers.
Kelly's eyes widened and she sighed, looking at her watch.
"Lets get this started" She grabbed some papers and looked through the applications.
It took the three of them about an hour to get down to a decent amount left before they called to let the applicants know that they got the jobs. Kelly went to the snack bar and grabbed some fruit snacks before she heard her phone ring. She looked and rolled her eyes playfully before answering the call.
"What do you want Miss Ziegler?" she joked as Maddie's face popped up on the screen.
"I want to talk to my girlfriend" Maddie said and Kelly propped her phone up onto the counter.
"How has your day been so far?" Kelly asked as she sat down at the snack bar.
"It's been good. I need to talk to you about something though" Maddie propped her phone on the dashboard of the car she was in.
"What's up?" Kelly looked at her confused and worried.
"I was talking with my mom and we decided that Mackenzie and I won't be returning to the RFDP"
Kelly looked at her shocked, not believing what she just heard but she should have expected it sooner or later. Maddie had been missing a lot of the summer training due to working so she understood.
"Oh" she mumbled and frowned. "That's sad but I get it. You don't have time for dance anymore" she shrugged. "But why won't Kenzie be returning?"
Maddie just shrugged and Kelly sighed. "She shouldn't pull Kenzie just because you aren't dancing anymore. She seems happy with the other girls. Maybe I can have mom talk to Melissa"
"Maybe. We will be there later on with the others to check out the studio and I'll be telling the other girls that I'm not coming back"
The two girls talked before Maddie had to go. Kelly hung up and went back to her mom and aunt with a sad look on her face.
"What's wrong?" Jackie asked when she looked at her.
"Maddie and Mackenzie aren't returning to dance with us" she said and the two sisters were shocked.
