Kelly stood in her studio trying out different dance moves to see if her knee would start hurting. It didn't on some moves and did on others. She sat down on the floor and sighed looking at herself in the mirror. She couldn't do it anymore. She got up and walked out to her mom who was making lunch for herself, Ryan and Kelly.
"Mom" Jasmine looked up at Kelly.
"what's up?" Jasmine put down the knife.
"Can I dance this week?" She asked hoping her mom didn't shut her down for the hundredth time that day.
"Kelly I'm not doing this with you today" Jasmine sighed and went back to cooking.
"But mom I'm tired of sitting in the studio every week watching everyone else dance while I sit on the sidelines. My therapist even said I can start to dance again" she begged.
"She said ease into it. Not just jump back into competition all together" Jasmine fired back and Kelly crossed her arms.
'I can't ease into it if you won't let me dance" she huffed. "Mom please?" she teared up a bit. "I just want to dance. If I feel like I can't do it, then I won't keep going. I promise" she said, her fingers crossing under the counter.
Jasmine sighed as she watched her child beg while in tears. She didn't want her getting hurt more than she already was, but she also didn't like seeing her like this. She rubbed her face.
"I see the first sign of pain on your face, and you're done" she said, and Kelly squealed hugging her mom.
"Thank you" she smiled and ran to her phone that was in the studio texting the girls the good news.

The girls all stood in the line as Jackie stood in front of them writing on the mirror. Once she stepped away, Kelly could see it was their names and all the things they could work on.
"Chloe. You got first overall in your solo but I want you to work on your feet. Don't get me wrong, they're beautiful but you sickle them a bit and I don't think you realize it" Jackie said and Chloe nodded. "Congrats on your win"
The door to the studio opened and Nia walked in with Holly. Nia waved at all the girls and stood in line while Holly stood next to Christi.
"Nice to see you guys" Jasmine said while hugging Holly.
"Sorry we were late. The ALDC didn't take the news of us leaving well" Holly said and Jasmine nodded.
"I got a good lawyer I'll. give you the number to deal with the ALDC contract" Holly nodded thanking Jasmine.
"Ok as I was saying. Kameron you need to straighten your knees more to make it cleaner" Kam nodded.
"Patience, you need to remember your facial expressions tie the dance together. Same with you Paige" both girls nodded.
"For you Kayla, the only correction I have for you is to let loose. You get tense when you dance and I know it's because you get nervous but you don't need to be. Just let go and dance your best out" the girl nodded and Jackie looked at Kelly and Nia.
"Welcome to the team" she said and the girls smiled. "So we are doing the group and Nia is going to do a solo" the girls clapped for Nia.
"Kelly, your mom and I agreed only one dance this week so do you want to be in the group dance or do a solo?" Jackie asked and Kelly pouted a bit.
"What is the group about?" She asked.
"It's based on the play/movie Hairspray" Jackie said and Kelly smiled.
