We made our way up the stairs laced with neon lights. We were taking the back entrance, because I didn't want to risk going through the front. I get that we want to be seen by the media, but I'd rather not give away the name and location of this club.
We reached the top of the stairs, opening onto a balcony. It's small enough, with a few tables and a completely glass front, which over looked the floor.
God I love it here. I instantly spotted Caz, the DJ, on the stage, though it's hard to look at it for too long because that's where all the light projections are coming from.
Blue, purple and pink lights bounced off the large crowd of people below. "A secret club? Seriously?" Elijah shouted.
The balcony room we were in muffled the music slightly, but not enough to talk normally.
I moved closer, going on my tippy toes so he could hear me. "You wanted fun, right?"
"No, you wanted fun."
"Pota-toe, Pot-ah-to." I smiled.
I grabbed two shots off the tray the man beside us was holding, and passed one to him. He was weary at first but we both tipped them back, burning the backs of our throats. We watched the crowd through the glass. "Wanna get down there and have some fun?"
"Not really."
"Perfect." I debated grabbing his hand to drag him but then I decided no, I don't fancy touching him. "This way."
I lead him to yet another staircase, and brought him down to the floor. We morphed in with the hundreds of hot bodies dancing around us. After turning around for the fifth time to make sure he was still following me and hadn't ran out of here yet, he placed his hand on my lower back.
His hands are huge, I'll give him that, but his touch felt so alien. There wasn't a single flutter in my body and I'm sure there wasn't in his.
The thought had crossed my mind, I must admit. If there's anything Lowen can do, it's seduce men. But there's something about Elijah that makes it impossible to even try.
We went to the bar at the right-hand side of the room. As soon as the area was clear enough I moved his hand off my back.
"Ohhh Steph!" I called to the purple-haired girl making a drink with her back turned to us. "Fanny!"
I noticed the way her body shook with giggles. She placed the drink on the bar for the girl beside us and stood before me. "You really got to stop calling me that, Britney."
"Never." I smirked, leaning across the bar in front of us. "I'm in desperate need of some shots."
"This guy bothering you?" She whispered, obviously referring to Elijah.
"Always." I groaned. "But no, he's with me tonight."
I turned to see him staring aimlessly around the place, making me laugh. "Eli!" I shouted over the music.
