Lowen had been through hell and back to get to where she is now - one of the world's best upcoming music artists. But after releasing a few hit singles she k...

"Pierced, by Lowen." Yeah, I got the title of my book from a shitty, overused pun. Bite me.
My mock-cover is complete, and I'm stood over Samuel's shoulder peaking at the design on his laptop. I'm trying to stop myself from jumping up and down. I'm buzzing, to say the least.
My fans know it's coming super soon, and the image of the photo shoot set on my Instagram story skyrocketed. I plan on posting the book cover ASAP too.
"Thank you, thank you thank you! It's perfect, Samuel. Truly."
"His ego's big enough, tone it down." Elijah groaned. We've both been stood over Sam's shoulders like an angel and devil, giving him positive and negative inputs until we finally finished the cover.
"Have you got the actual book finished yet?" Here Satan comes, with his negative inputs once again.
"Very nearly. Which reminds me, I have a present for you." I sing-songed.
I grabbed my bag off the floor. My outfit is very boring today, well, boring for me anyways. But technically, we're not working today. Our photo shoot yesterday was successful. Elijah left for his fancy date, which he won't reveal any details about, and I went home to complete eight, (yes eight!) more chapters.
This morning I tapped through a chapter, but I just wasn't feeling it. So I threw on my most mundane, blue jeans and a beige sweatshirt type of outfit, and went grocery shopping.
As I was self-scanning a mango, my phone rang with Samuel's amazing news. "I'm playing around with cover ideas, have you got a title for us yet?"
"Pierced." I told him proudly.
"Pierced?" He repeated, and I could barely hear Elijah grumbling in the back.
"Yes. Pierced by Lowen." I tried to multitask filling up my tote bag with fruit while also holding my phone between my shoulder and ear. "I'm on my way over to you, see you in thirty."
So I came home, swapped my groceries for a folder of papers, and speed walked through the city. Which brings me back to now.
"Here." I beamed, handing Eli the bunch of papers. "The first twenty chapters. I'll have the rest to you by Monday."
Yes, I've given myself a deadline. And saying it out loud, to Elijah no less, makes that deadline final.
"Great. Thanks." He took them and placed them on the edge of the desk. Although his mood is a total turn off, his light blue shirt's sleeves are rolled up, revealing his veiny forearms that makes his attitude almost forgivable. Almost.
"Grumpy much." I muttered.
"Watch your mouth." He raised his eyebrows as a threat.
"Okay, guys!" Samuel butt in, playing referee because Jess couldn't make it. She's got too much school work to catch up on. "Why don't you two go for a coffee, and bring me back something as a thank you?"
