My alarm, A

My alarm, A.K.A Jessica's ring tone, echoed through my flat. Normally I'd be annoyed at the early call but I'm dying for updates on everything and she's my number one source.

"Love the story, super cute. I just have one question..."

"Shoot." I rolled over, leaving her on speaker on my bedside table.

"Did you fuck him before or after it was taken?"

"Jess-" she woke me up instantly. "Neither."

"Ugh, boring. Anyways, the second thing is, drum roll please..."
I reached my arms up, tapping them off my headboard without a hint of rhythm.
"That will do I guess..." she cleared her throat, "She finally agreed to help me finish your outfit! So it should be done in the next few days."

"Thank god! Not that you couldn't have done it by yourself, but at least it takes half the pressure off you."

"And adds her touch to it too. I can't wait for you to wear it, L."

"Me neither." I rolled onto my back, staring at my ceiling. "What did you say her name was again?"

I didn't."

"And why won't you tell me it?"

"Because-" I heard a sigh down the line. "Her name is Tanya."

"Mmm, Tanya huh? And how did you convince Tanya to help us out?"

"I did a lot of sucking up. Be thankful."

"I am. Really. Should I give you an extra invite for the book launch or will you bring her as your plus one?" I tested the waters.

"Definitely give her an invite. A signed book too. It's the least she deserves."

"Of course, I'll get Samuel to sort it."

"Perfect. I better get going, I have a lecture in half an hour."

"Have a good day!"

"Bye!"

I sighed in relief. Everything is falling into place. You're going to be okay.

I need to head over to Samuel's office because today is the day...

I'm officially announcing my book's release.

Jessica cleaned the hell out of my website, and it looks super cute and professional. I'm going to give Samuel access today - to run the count down and post the announcement. We're going to live stream my performance and public announcement tonight at Retrospect, and by the morning every news platform will know.

I don't know the details of how we disperse my books into bookstore nationwide, but Samuel and Elijah have that covered.

I'm not worried about our 'relationship' anymore either. I no longer have to fight for a say, or try to win Elijah over. He's here, he's agreed, and he's my boyfriend.
As of the next three months.
