Their journey back from the carnival seemed to have taken a lot longer than it did earlier. Without Emma giving her directions, they didn't quite know where they were going. Both Alex and Norma thought that they'd memorized the way back, but each of them had different ideas of which way to go and it resulted in a playful argument. Alex ended up being right, but Norma insisted that she knew that and she was just testing him. Which she wasn't, obviously...her directions were completely wrong.

When they finally got back to the house, Alex got out of the car. "Wait there" he said quickly, making his way around the back of the car.

"What? Why? Where are you.." Norma looked around with a confused expression on her face. Suddenly Alex appeared right outside the passenger door, opening it for her. "Oh.." she said, a surprised tone to her voice. "Well well, Alex Romero, you're full of surprises. What a gentleman." she grinned and stepped out of the car, making her way to the front door and opening it up. "Come on in."

Alex locked up his car, following her up to the house and walking inside after her.

Norma went into the kitchen, her hunger beginning to grow. She looked through the food she had, sighing. There wasn't really anything that could be made quickly, and it was too late to be making anything too fancy. "How do you feel about ordering a pizza?"

Alex followed her, leaning against the wall. "Oh sure, I thought that's what we'd do anyway. I wasn't expecting you to set out a fancy three course meal at this time of night" he chuckled.

"Well good, because that's not what you're getting." Norma grinned, walking over to him and reaching past him to pick up the phone. "What kind of pizza do you like?"

"I'm not fussy" Alex shrugged.

"Good, because I am. I only eat plain Margherita." Norma laughed.

"Okay, pepperoni then yeah?" Alex grinned, teasing her.

"Hah." Norma narrowed her eyes, smiling sarcastically at him and calling the pizza place. She asked for a large Margherita pizza.

Alex watched her as she spoke on the phone, smiling fondly. He thought for a moment about how and when they actually got to this point. Not so long ago they were just Sheriff Romero and Norma Louise Bates, pretty much rivals. Norma was a suspect in Keith Summers murder, and Alex spent most of his time trying to drag the truth out of here..while she complained about him to his deputy, referring to him as 'Sheriff Bulldog'. And now they were just Alex and Norma. Friends. Or, whatever this was.

Norma got off the phone, noticing Alex was kind of staring at her. "Why're you looking at me like that?" she tilted her head slightly.

"Huh?" Alex jumped slightly, realising he'd been getting lost in his thoughts. "Oh, sorry....uh, I was just thinking that's all."

"Right." Norma nodded slowly, raising an eyebrow. "Anyway--" she started walking out of the kitchen, beckoning him over. "Follow me." She led him into the living room, gesturing over to the stack of movies she had in the corner of the room. "Pick one."

"Oh....uhhhh" Alex glanced through the wide selection of movies he had to chose from. One caught his eye, and he carefully pulled it out. It was a horror movie, although more of a thriller type. He liked those types of films, but something made him doubt Norma did. "You seen this one?" He held it out to her.

Norma inspected the DVD case, frowning slightly. She didn't recognise it, she mustn't have seen it before. "I think that's one of Dylan's. I've never seen it before..." she took it from him, reading the back. It sounded pretty good, but it didn't give much clues as to how scary it actually was. "You wanna give it a shot?"
