It had been a day or two since Norma gave the flash drive back to Alex. But he didn't have it anymore, he'd handed it into the DEA. He knew that was the best thing to do, because it only brought trouble. The only problem was that this meant they were going to be going after Bob. And Bob getting arrested really wasn't good for Norma. Getting arrested included questioning, and he knew that Bob was the type of person to expose everything he knew about Norma right there and then. So instead, he let Bob go. When him and the rest of the team were on their way to arrest him, he called him up to warn him. And clearly he took his warning, since he was nowhere to be seen when they got to his house.

Baring in mind he had known Bob for a long time, Alex had learnt a lot about him over the years. He remembered hearing of a fishing boat Bob bought a few years back, and Alex knew that's where he'd be going. When he got to the docks, Bob wasn't even at his boat yet. Alex stood there, casually looking through all his stuff. He felt his phone buzz numerous times in his back pocket, and took it out to check the messages. Woah. He mustn't have had reception earlier on, because all his messages were just coming through at once. 5 messages from Norma.

'Where are you? I need to speak to you x'
Second message.
'You better not be ignoring me!!'
Third message.
'Since you're clearly incapable of using a damn phone I went to your office, but of course you weren't there. Where the hell are you?!'

He didn't need to read any more messages to get the picture. He sighed, deciding he'd better message her back.
'I'm just at the docks, calm down. Everything's fine, there's just something I need to take care of.'
Once he'd finished typing the message, he heard footsteps. He quickly sent the message, stuffing his phone back in his pocket and replacing it with his gun. Holding it out, he slowly looked around the corner and saw Bob. He put his gun back, stepping out into full view.

Bob was ready to leave, bags in hand. He'd actually taken Alex's advice for once, and decided to leave town. But when he arrived at his boat, there stood Alex. He looked slightly confused. He'd never even told him about the boat before, but then again Alex was the Sheriff after all so he was bound to know these things. "Thought you were gonna let me leave town. You know, the minute I leave these docks...I become a new person. I have no reason to discuss my past life, especially not everything I know about that psycho Norma Bates and her son."

"No, Bob. You will never become a 'new person'. You can change your name, change your appearance. But you'll always be the same. You walk around bragging about your perfect life, meanwhile ruining everyone else's. I might have stopped you from getting arrested, that doesn't mean I trust you enough to be walking free."

"What a great sheriff you are. Warning a criminal that they're going to get arrested, letting them walk away so you can deal with them the way you want to. Because you want Norma Bates, don't you? And you know that the only way you're gonna get through to her is if you fix all her problems. It's funny the lengths people will go to to get what they want. Reminds me of someone actually-- oh, right...your dad. You know that guy you tried so hard not to turn into? But, yet, here you are, taking after daddy dearest." Bob said with a sly smile.

Alex clenched his jaw, shaking his head. "I gave you one last chance." he said before raising his gun, firing it at least three times towards Bob. He watched as he fell to the ground, his hands clutching his bleeding neck.

Norma had gone along with Alex's orders to relax. For once, she wasn't stressing out. She was sat on her couch, watching TV and eating her lunch. All was peaceful and quiet until she saw the flashing of red and blue police lights passing by. When she opened the curtains, she saw a bunch of police cars going down the road. Oh great, trust something to happen right when she was in relaxation mode. She thought she'd best call Alex to see what was going on. When she called, it went straight to answer phone and she groaned. "Stupid thing." she tried texting instead, and waited at least 15 minutes between each message she sent to him. But Norma wasn't a very patient person, and she got the impression that Alex was ignoring her. When she visited his work to go and see him in person, he wasn't there. This wouldn't have been so strange if the rest of the team wasn't there either, but they were. None of them had seen Alex since their attempt at arresting Bob Paris. That's when it hit her...'attempt'. Alex was with Bob somewhere, she knew it. Either one of them was going after the other, and she just hoped it'd be Alex going after Bob.
