Her Fairy Tale

26. love?

She came near me and hugged me. It felt so warm and full of love. I don't know why a stranger radiates so much love for another stranger. It seems like she knows me well.

"You are so pretty just as I imagined" she said looking at me lovingly. I smiled awkwardly at her. She sensed my discomfort.

"Sorry I got a little excited, I promise I I not like this usually" she joked and this time I smiled genuinely.

"My son told me about you and I so wanted to meet you" she told me and I looked at Aaron in a questioning manner. I didn't know he talked about me to his mother.

"Oh probably the nice things right?" I asked looking skeptically at him who only shrugged in return.

"Don't worry he is head over.." she was cut off by her son.

"Mom that's enough" he pulled her mother away from me.

"What happens to your face?" She suddenly asked noticing my bruise.

"Uhmm that! ... is a long story" I said.

"Well I have a lot of free time, don't worry" she waved her hand nonchalantly. Oh boy!

"It was really nothing much, I met a very very rude brat and had to put some sense in her" I told her and she smirked.

"That's great" she said and I blinked at her, did she just praise me for fighting?

"I am hoping she is the one with more bruises" she said and I grinned.

"Mom are you really praising her for that" Aaron said gruffly.

"So? I know she had a very good reason for doing it" she takes my side again. Okay I have a new favorite person now! Sorry Anna.

"Let's go, we have to talk about some work" Aaron said taking her out of the kitchen. She waved at me whispering 'will talk to you later' before going out. I smiled at her.

"She is nice" I thought.

Then all three ladies came back this time with grocery. Anna smiled at me but Rosie and Miranda just looked away putting grocery away into their respective places.

"I am sorry" I said looking down at my lap. For a moment there was utter silence but then Miranda came near me and raised my head by gently placing her palm on my chin.

"We are not angry at you we just don't want you to get hurt. We all love you so much and you are a Ray of happiness for us. Before you it was always us working but now it has all changed you make our day better by just gracing us with your presence. We all are so attached with you so it wasn't a good sight when we saw you hurt and fighting like that. I consider you as my daughter" she said and I hugged her.

"Miranda I love you and I am sorry, i won't do that again. I promise" I told her and she smiled at me.

"I believe you" she said kissing my cheeks.

"Now everyone back to work" she said and all of us get to work, I also helped them putting the groceries in the shelves.

"Oh I forgot to tell you Aaron's mother is here" I told them and they all froze in their tracks.

"What did you say?" It was Rosie.

"Uhm Aaron's mother is here, I think she is in studio room" I said and they all ran here and there. Cleaning all the mess in the kitchen or on the floor. They were freaking out.

"Ughh what's happening?" I asked when I saw them running here and there.

"Miss Rachel is very strict, she is a type of lady who wants everything in its place. If something is out of place then it doesn't turns out good for any of us" Anna told me.

"But she seems nice and she even hugged me.." I said and they all gathered around me.

"What?"

"She hugged you?"

"She talked nicely to you?" They all said at once. I nod at them and three of them looked quite shocked.

"Wow"

"I can't belive it" Anna said.

"Why you guys are so shocked?" I asked genuinely confused at them.

"Let me tell you my secret, I called that lady a devil" Anna said and I gave her a confused look.

"But she was .. good I mean .." I stopped not knowing what to say.

"Don't worry she is nice too, Anna is just exaggerating" Rosie said patting my hairs.

"She has OCD so she wants things to be on their place and as you know our Anna here is queen of mess so.. she often get scolded by her" Rosie told me and we all laughed apart from her.

"I thought you were in my team Alzena" she glared at me. I instantly stopped laughing.

"Oh no no I am on your side" I told her, she huffed and went away with the cleaning utensils.

"I am going to clean the devil's room" she told us.

"Don't worry she will come around" Miranda told me when she saw me a looking at Anna's retreating figure.

"I know" I smiled.

Rest of the day spent with me sitting in my room and talking with Max. I call him often and he tells me about what is going around back home. I often ask him about grandpa but he ignore that topic. He once told me that he is angry at me and never talk about me. Honestly it hurts to hear that he never talks about me but its me who brought this upon herself.

A knock brought me out of my thoughts. I told the person to come in and it was Aaron's mother Rachel to my surprise.

"Hi" I said and she greeted back with a smile.

"Can we talk?" She asked me and I nods. She sat in front of me on the bed. We stayed silent for a moment but then she started the conversation

"I heard from Anna the reason behind your fight" she said and I glanced away.

"And I am here to say thank you for fighting for my son" she surprised me by those words.

"Really you are not here to scold me" I asked

"No why would I scold you? If I were in your place I would have done the same" she laughed.

"You like my son?" She asked me directly and I looked at her blankly.

"Uhmm I... I don't.. know" I said not knowing what to say.

"Relax" she said with a smile.

"You have plenty of time to discover what you feel but make sure it's not too late" she said and stood up.

"I really like you Alzena I don't know why but I can see myself in you and I hope you get everything you want in your life" she smiled at me and then left saying good night leaving me to think.
