Okay so I have butterflies, Uncle Zane. Someone actually sent me a message! Finley's interests are reading horror stories and watching Netflix documentaries. Right up my street, that! His initial message simply said, 'hi Tavi how are you doing?' straight to the point with no creepy pick up lines like I witnessed on Tilly's account. Our messages were back and forward for hours. He made me feel all warm inside. I haven't felt it in a long time - if ever! I know I'm only 15 but this feels so good!
Actually we're planning on meeting up on Friday but I asked him if it was okay for Tilly to come and he said of course! I think Tilly is going to use this meet up as a sort of excuse to meet up with Jack as well. So it'll be like a double date thing.
We're actually going to that milkshake place that we went to last year. I vaguely remember you ordering that gross banana one but because you're too nice you grinned and bore it and even finished the lot. Disgusting! I've looked at the menu online and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get the chocolate and salted caramel one because them flavours are just to die for despite what you say about them.
I really hope I don't get hurt like last time, Uncle Zane. I don't think I'd be able to cope. Mum wouldn't be able to handle it because she's turned into an emotionless, empty vessel since moving here. She ignores me more than she did before and of course Felix is the golden child even though he is 5 years younger than me and in the middle of a weird growth spurt or something. The boy eats everything! But guess what? It is somehow my fault.
To be quite honest, I am feeling pretty down these days. But I truly think I can see the light at the end of this dark tunnel. It's nearly the end of the summer holidays so I'll be back to school soon and back to seeing my other friends more often. And of course there is this impending meeting with the mysterious Finley. I'm seriously nervous to my core. I'll be fine though.
Peace ✌️
