To Uncle Zane,
This is so weird. I don't even know how to do this without cringing so hard. Nonetheless, I promised that I would at least give this a try regardless of the fact that you will never read this!
I truly do love this idea of writing down my daily thoughts for you, Uncle Z, especially since we had to move to a different town so I will hardly ever get to see you anymore. I'm definitely going to miss our talks like when you used to babysit me and Felix and you would let me stay up past my bedtime and we'd stuff our faces with ice cream. Honestly, I haven't thought about them times in a while. I think its because of all the moving malarkey that has drudged up some memories.
Don't you think it is the worst thing in the world that my mum and dad split up? I mean, I always saw them as being such endgame that the thought never even entered my head about what would happen if that did take place. I really thought that their love would be forever. Now it has left such an awful feeling in the pit of my stomach and I can't quite place what it is. Is love really forever or is it just until one or both parties get bored?
Anyway, thank you so much for my birthday present. It was so nice of you to sneak it to me yesterday before we move tomorrow. How crappy is it that I am spending my 15th birthday essentially packing up my whole life into boxes? However I am so grateful that you were able to help convince my mum to let me stay at my school seeing as its going to be my last year. Hey! Maybe sometimes after school I'd be able to hang out at your place before going home? I don't know why I am suggesting this because you can't even see it! Hopefully I'll see you at my dad's at some point anyway.
