Well. I think I'm in love. Everything went perfect! Finley, or Fin as he said he likes to be called, is an absolute dream boat. Our heights are pretty similar too, which I am so happy about because I'm tall aren't I Uncle Zane? I couldn't imagine being taller than him, which is completely stupid I know but being similar heights just means cuddles are great.
Oh yes! We hugged goodbye and he kissed my cheek! I blushed so hard though. His body was warm and chunky and he made me feel safe. Like your hugs!
Fin's cheeks were red and flushed and he definitely seemed like he at least enjoyed my company. I think being with Tilly and Jack (whose name isn't Jack it's actually Jakob and he only put his name as Jack on the app so his ex girlfriend couldn't find him or something) made it better. It turns out that Fin and Jakob actually know each other! What are the odds?!
I also went with the chocolate and salted caramel milkshake like I said and Fin had a Nutella milkshake which he let me taste. It was yummy.
I think next time we meet up - if there's a next time - then it'll just be the two of us though. Having them there was a great ice breaker and I think they feel the same about us. The boys are a little bit older than us, just 17 though so only 2 years. There are some girls in our year at school that are in relationships with 19 year old boys so I think we're okay.
Mum also told me that she's taking us to dad's tomorrow afternoon for tea. She said that he misses us and wants to see us. To be honest, I really do miss him too. I wonder if I will be able to get anything out of him about why he and mum randomly decided to split up. God knows why because mum is as useful as a wooden frying pan so getting any information out of her is like smashing your head against the wall.
I wonder if you'll be there too. I hope so, Uncle Zane. Mum is being so weird and evasive about anything I mention about dad or even you. I wonder if dad cheated and mum found out. Could you imagine? If you knew, you'd tell me right?
So yes, my date thing was very much a success and I'm definitely going to spend the whole night thinking about his voice and his face. Damn his face. You know, I'm seriously regretting not plucking up the courage to kiss him. Hopefully next time.
