Issue 10: Clue One

Changbin's POV

Its the next day and I woke up before the rise of the sun. Woke up to a still sleeping town. I guess I was oddly excited to working this close with someone that by body shot up before its regular awakening time. It wasn't that long for her to arrive, even though It felt like I was sitting there in that shelter waiting forever. She picked up very quickly, sketching out blueprints and organizing the supplies for about an hour. As soon as that was over, Y/n started working away with an alternative playlist blasting out a speaker of mine. The girl didn't budge and stayed in that one work area for about 5 hours until I insisted a break.

"How's the project?" I asked laying my head on Y/n's shoulder watching her hands place together parts and wires.

"Setting up the camera functions was the easiest. Now I need to install a wireless remote control feature, wire that up to the wings, and actually make it fly despite the weight. .. This is the most difficult project I have done.. " she sighs soldering a wire to a circuit board.

"Take a break."

"If I take a break I won't be able to test this first one and make more on time-"

"I'm not asking. I'm ordering you to take a break. Besides, I brought you some tea and a sandwich."

"Changbin.. "

"You can head right back to work after. Just a small break will not hurt you."

Y/n nods and follows me to the small two person table. I pointed to the tea and food I set out and sit in the chair right in front of her. The girl sits down as well taking a sip and bite of what I had laid out. After she got halfway through the sandwich, I speak clasping my drink in my hands, "Beyond- "  She looks up listening intently.

"What about him?"

"He is a high school student."

Her face frowns, "That's it?"

"Our school." I state which makes Y/n eyes widen and face lighten up more.

"Ours?? Does he know you are Spear?"

"No. If he knew he would have made it a big deal and used it against me."

"How do you know his identity?"

" I killed Beyond's dad, Justice, in their home. I saw a family photo and ever since then I have engraved that face into my mind.."

She looks at me with a sense of concern in her expression, "You really killed Justice..?"

"As independent as our country and many others look, there is a world government. He was working with that corrupt cult organization. Using wars as a front for money and limiting the powers in which we were promised to control the people into modern slavery. Of course I killed the bastard."

"You think Beyond inherited that?"

"Yes."

"I don't know if I believe that.." I state softly.

"I wouldn't lie to you but be in denial if you want. I will not force it on you. Well, that is your first clue on Beyond's Identity. Do you have an Idea on who it is?"

"A student.. At our school..? There is over 1000 students, Changbin and 60% are guys. How I am I supposed to figure it out from there?"

I smirk and lean back into my chair, "You are very smart.. I am sure you'll figure it out."

Later on that night, Y/n goes to her house and helps with her siblings. She comes back with a bag of clothes stating she had to tell her grandma she was spending the night with an old friend for two days. Thankfully, her grandmother had not said anything about her skipping school.. It seems I was able to safely leave without a commotion. Who knows though, things do come back around especially since she isn't as experienced as I am in sneaking around. For now, it was safe to say that she was in the clear.
