Y/n's POV
Thursday morning the sun is shining and school moves along like any other day. However, I was sitting in this room having a full blown panic attack right next to Changbin who looked calm. My hands shook and my throat was clinching hard trying to hold back tears. The principal, Vice principal, a campus police officer, and My Grandmother stood before us with blank expressions. The first to speak was my Grandmother, "I was told this was an emergency meeting, though no one has informed me of my granddaughter's crime." The Principal sighs and asks her to sit before they started the meeting. She did so but kept eyeing me like I was going to blurt out the answer when I could barley even stay conscious.
"Tuesday afternoon your granddaughter skipped with this student. They were almost perfect in avoiding cameras which I am sure is Changbin's doing, but when the teacher turned in their attendance both had their classes be marked absent for one and a half days."
My grandmother sighs, "And how do you know this young man was with my granddaughter?"
"He has done this before according to his old school records. And from what we know he is the only one in our entire history of our education here who has such a record. In public schools you get away with a slap on the wrists which I am sure Mister Seo knows. That is not how we do things here.. "
"Will you expel her?" My grandmother asks without emotion.
"As long as she doesn't do it again. Though we will be suspending her and this young man for 3 days. We suggest you restrict her as she might take this time to see this.. influential student. This time is for reflection not reward. As for you Changbin, we are aware you are responsible for yourself. Please use this time to reflect and review our standards here." Changbin nods before grabbing his backpack and heading out of the office. My grandmother also decides to leave and I walk right out with her. As soon as we walked out of the school building, Changbin calls out to me and joins us in our walk to the parking lot.
"Y/n, I'm sorry I got you in trouble.." Changbin says softly. My grandmother glares at him and crosses her arms.
"I have no idea what you are to my granddaughter, but your actions could have cost her the scholarship she has here."
Changbin does not pay any attention to her and continues to speak to me, "I'll talk with you later and use this extra time to rest.." I nodded and he smiles brightly before leaving me to deal with my angry Gran.
Of course I was grounded the moment I walked into the house. My Gran talked my ear off about it to a point it gave me a headache. I know I made a mistake skipping but I had no choice. Changbin told me to make him a priority and I did just that in order to not loose any funding. Funding I needed for my family so she would not have to work so hard.
"So, for how long am I grounded?" I say tapping my fingers on the dining table.
"A month. Your phone goes with me at night as soon as you are home from work. Absolutely no TV. You go to work and back no where else. And Your door? You've lost the privilege to that. So, it is to be opened 24/7." She pauses looking at me," I know this isn't like you to go off with some sketchy looking boy.. BUT I have to make sure you understand that this is unacceptable.. Did you at least use protection?" I groan at that last one.
"I didn't sleep with Changbin.. We just got bored in school and decided to head to the arcade. I'm sorry, I know it was not right of me." She nods and points me to my room. I get up and head straight to my room. However, she stops me by calling out "Not yet." I rolled my eyes and hand her my phone from my bag. I was now released to my room finally to bask in the things I have done and accepting the fact that karma was ironically after me.
