Jayden –
Taylor and I arrived in front of a massive building in which we believed Lucy was in. It was surprisingly easier than we expected but something felt strange to me. This particular building we were in was familiar and I was eager to know why."So you think Lucy is in here?" Taylor asked
"Yeah, according to GPS"
"How are we gonna get in?"
"I'll think about that, i just need you to stay here and watch out"
She scoffed "really Jayden, you've got to be kidding me"
"You can't go in Taylor, It's dangerous"
"I can't just sit and watch"
"Please, i need you to stay here, you could be in danger"
"I don't care!" she half yelled "that's the point of following you here. If you don't let me go, I'll go in myself, right now"
I sighed "fine"
"Good"
I took out a gun and placed it in her hands "take this, it might come in handy"
"I'm up for this"
I knew she wasn't obviously up for anything because of how shaky she was holding a gun but the choice was hers not mine.
Lucy –
My eyes fluttered open, my head was throbbing and i couldn't think straight. The lights suddenly came on and the feeling was not good in two aspects – my eyes were taking a lot of time to get adjusted to the bright light and I found out I was trapped in a transparent compartment. Then the memories began to flood in all at once – me, receiving a text from Jordan saying he wanted to make things right between us. Me, being all alone with him in a diner. Me, being all stupid and falling for his trap. Nothing felt more terrible than being betrayed by Jordan and I made a mental note never to trust people so easily.
I did what any human being in my state would do, i began hitting on the compartment as hard as i could but it was of no use."Get me out of here!" I yelled "Jordan! Come out this instant!"
I kept on hitting. I had to put in some effort at least "Get me out, you asshole!"
A man walked up to me with Jordan by his side. They were both talking probably about me and I couldn't hear a word. That's when I realized the stupid compartment was soundproof. There was no use of shouting at the top of my lungs because they wouldn't hear me but that didn't stop me from throwing a lot of curse words at Jordan. Even though he couldn't hear me, he definitely knew my choice of words and the anger with which they were being said was vivid. He mouthed the words 'I'm sorry' like i gave a damn about his apology. I just wanted to get out and hit him so hard on the face.
Gradually I felt my feet getting wet, as if I hadn't been surprised enough. Jordan wasn't only planning to keep me as hostage, he wanted me dead. He wanted me to drown and fight for my life until i wouldn't be able to do so. I couldn't believe what was about to happen to me but it was actually happening and I couldn't do anything. Reality really slaps hard especially when you know you are going to die a painful death. I was beyond scared, i was devastated. The water had already reached half of my body and before I knew it, I broke down in tears, real painful tears. Yes, I have I felt pain before but this pain i felt was so terrible because deep down I knew I wasn't ready to die.Taylor –
Jayden and I hid behind a raised platform in the building. I could see Lucy dying and I couldn't help it. I really felt like killing Jordan, I couldn't stop blaming myself for letting Lucy go."Jayden, do something" I whispered
"I'm trying to think of something"
Jayden appeared to be devastated himself, I couldn't take his eyes off the man standing beside Jordan. Soon, they both walked off, entered a room and shut the door behind them leaving two huge men positioned at each side of Lucy's compartment. She was struggling so hard to live.
