Lucy -
I walked into school earlier than usual - I guess I was just eager to see Jayden because I couldn't stop thinking about the fact that Jayden and I were a thing. I could have gone insane out if happiness. I walked into the busy hallway and moved towards my locker and opened it, I looked sideways and saw Taylor walking towards my direction and she looked like she was about to chew my head off and I knew exactly why, so I gave a nervous smile and waved.

"Hey" I said

She folded her arms and just stared at me

"Fine, I'm sorry" I sighed

"Lucy, you ditched school without telling me" she said "it wasn't easy covering for you"

"I'm sorry, I couldn't tell you" I said "I didn't have the chance"

"Where did you go and why did you leave?"

"Jayden pulled me out of school, literally" I smiled

"Why?"

"He apologized" I smiled even more

"What are you not telling me?" She said curiously

"Jayden is my boyfriend" I blurted

And as I expected, Taylor squealed, I was so glad that she didn't get so much attention.

"I knew it would happen soon" she smiled "how did it happen?"

"Well" I said "I was..."  My voice trailed off because I saw him coming towards my direction, soon he was standing in front of me. I wasn't used to the boyfriend and girlfriend stuff so I didn't know exactly what to do so I just smiled and he smiled back.

"Morning beautiful" he hugged me and I wrapped my arms around him.

"Hey" I whispered.

Taylor cleared her throat "um, I'll see you later" she said leaving, I looked sideways at her and she winked, I rolled my eyes and smiled. Jayden and I pulled away from the hug then he placed a small kiss on my lips, he placed both his hands on my shoulder and stared at me. We really got a lot of head turns in the hallway and it really felt awkward. Everyone literally had the eyes on us and I wished I could be buried at that moment.

Jayden let out a chuckle "I had no idea we would draw so much attention"

I reached out to my locker to get some books "can I just stay in my locker for the rest of the day?" I heaved a deep sigh.

He grinned "You're not staying in your locker" he said closing it. "You'll be alright" he held my hand in his "just follow my lead"

"Are you planning on walking me to class?"

"Of course, I am" he smiled.

"Jayden" I whined.

He pulled me along and we started walking towards our class. I remained quiet.

"Do you wanna hang out later?" He asked as we walked into the classroom.

"Sure, I would love to" I paused "are we ditching school again?"

He chuckled "No, but if you want to, I'm up for it"

"I'm good" I gave a small smile "Taylor was about to bite my head off for ditching yesterday"

He laughed "I'm always here if you change your mind sunshine"

"Now, that's just cheesy" I smiled

"There's no doubt that you like cheesy" his face broke out in a grin. "so it's a date?"

"Yeah, a date" I smiled back as we both took our seats beside each other.

I didn't want to care about what other people thought about us. I was getting to that stage of my life where my happiness mattered the most to me. Jayden made me happy and that was just enough.
