Jayden -
"Welcome to detention" Mrs martin said "this is what you both get for disrupting my class" I folded my arms examining the very dusty room we were standing in "you can see this is a really old room" Mrs martin continued "here's a box of envelopes which contain both stamped and unstamped ones, so you'll be organising them by separating the stamped ones from the unstamped ones and sorting out the stamped ones by date. This will give you an opportunity to think about your lives because you've only got one and you have no idea when it will come to an end and to also create a friendly interaction between yourselves. I'll be around here so I shouldn't hear any speech which involves arguing or you both get double detention". She turned to leave and stopped, looking back at the both of us "oh, and the both of you are to be partners for the project going on"

I became so stunned and was thinking of what to say, I couldn't my ears.

"Huh?" the both of us chorused

"Yes, you're gonna be project partners" Mrs Martin repeated

Lucy stepped forward, folding her arms "but I can't be project partners with him" she looked at me with disgust.

"Me neither" I said

"Well, I'm making you two partners and that's final" Mrs Martin walked out on us.

"Shit!" Lucy paced about "how am I supposed to be partners with someone I hate so much" she said aloud trying to make me mad. Then, she stopped, glaring at me.

"Well, it's your fault" I glared back

"My fault?  You were the fuck face back in class" she snapped

"And you were the crazy bitch" I retorted, being pricked by her words

She sighed folding her arms "I hate everything about you but what I hate the most is that sickening arrogant attitude of yours, you think everything you do is totally right and that's because no one has ever tried to tell you about your terrible self. Now I'm telling you how wrong you are this time around, involving my mother for no reason was way out of the line, no matter what you do to me, you shouldn't do that because I know how it feels if a mom is gone for good". I could see tears welling up in her eyes and this struck me badly. "I guess you've seen my weak side" she continued "stay the hell away from me and you'll have the chance to live the pathetic life you own"

She walked to the other side of the room and I could feel how angry she was. I started to have this weird feeling of guilt because I knew how she felt, I lost my mom too and I hurt while I'm in the same situation with her. I really might have crossed the line this time.

Taylor -
"Thanks for waiting up for me Taylor" Lucy said as we walked home together.

"No worries, I was actually working on some school stuff" I shrugged.

"Gosh, I'm so tired" Lucy sighed "Jayden made it more tiring because seeing his face is a lot more work for me, it makes me sick"

"Sorry, should we go to my house for lunch?"

"Oh, never mind, I'm fine" she said nervously, then I had a feeling something was going on

"But, why do you always reject my invitation of coming over to my house, what's wrong?" I said with concern.

"You know, I think you're a very lucky person" she quickly changed the topic

"Why do you think so?"

"Well, you have a mom and dad you do stuff with. I lost mine years ago and now I'm committed to a life of crime" she made a nervous look and my good intuition made me feel she had just said something confidential. I was trying my best to blend into the conversation without making her feel uncomfortable.
