ALL BEHIND IT

Chapter Fourteen

Levi –
I finally found her on the roof top, I guess she didn't sense my presence because she didn't move a bit while I walked up to her.

"Hey" I said

"What do you want?" she said

"I just wanted to give you an ice pack" I sighed "Here"

She looked at the ice pack for a while before taking it "um, thanks"

"Alright"

She chuckled while placing the ice pack on her face. It was weird hearing her chuckle for obviously no reason.

"Why'd you do that?" I asked

"Weird, right?" she sighed "my face really hurts, I obviously can't cry because you're here even though I really want to, so I had to do that, it might help to suppress the pain"

"Sorry" I sighed

"I thought you never cared about me but you're acting like you do now"

"Let's just act like I did nothing"

"Fine, let's do that" she shrugged

"Can I ask a question?"

"Sure"

"Why did you save Jayden when I tried to kill him?"

"Because people shouldn't die for the wrong reasons"

"Well, you've killed people for the wrong reasons"

"That's my fault"

"it's not, we're assassins"

"Killing people isn't the solution to everything"

"So why did you decide to be part of this?"

"I'm here because I had nowhere else to go, it's my home, I spent most of my life here. I decided to come back here and I had no choice than to become an assassin. It's what I have to live for"

"Are you saying you're not interested in all of this?"

"It's none of your business Levi. If you're here to interrogate me, I'm leaving" she immediately walked out me.

Lucy –
Everything felt weird at the moment, it seemed like everyone was trying so hard to hide things from me. I had a silly thought that they were planning a surprise party for me but my birthday wasn't even near and honestly, who cares. I immediately erased that thought from my mind.

I couldn't keep my curiosity in any longer so I followed a group of goths. I was careful enough to do this because no one noticed my presence. They finally stopped in front of a door which seemed very familiar. I realized it was door leading to where I found my medallion. I popped out from where I was hiding.

"What's going on?" I said startling them. They seemed confused and just stared at me like dummies

"What's behind that door ?" I said again.

I heard Levi's voice "nothing" he walked up to me

"If there's nothing there, why are they here?" I folded my hands

"Levi, I wanna see what's behind that door"

"You can't"

"I can, I have every right to, I'm in charge, remember? And you have to do what I say. Open that door Levi" I said sternly.

"Not in this case, lucy"

"Why?" I scoffed.

"It's the master's order, don't get ahead of yourself"
