Jayden -
Lucy and I stood quietly beside each other, leaning on my car, she was placed her head on my shoulder while we just stared into the empty space. I wanted to wanted to talk about the kiss but she seemed to be uneasy about it and it just wasn't the right time.

"It's getting dark" Lucy said

"Oh yeah" I said and took her phone from my pocket "Here"

"Finally" she took her phone "What did you use it for any way?" She asked switching it on.

"I found out you didn't have any picture of yourself so I transferred some to your phone"

"I've never thought of taking a picture of myself. It just feels unnecessary"  she tapped on her phone screen and swiped "They are..." Her voice trailed off

"Beautiful" I completed

"Yeah" she smiled and looked at me. She was so beautiful. My eyes trailed down to her lips and I felt this urge to kiss them again "How did you get these pictures?"

"I took them when you weren't looking" I grinned

"That explains it" she continued swiping and stopped "This isn't a picture of me, it's yours".

I smirked "Yeah and it looks great"

She punched me lightly on the arm and let out a little laugh.

She fixed her eyes back on her phone "Finally, it's a message from Jordan" she tapped on her phone screen and then I began to hear Jordan's voice from the phone

"Lucy, I've done terrible things to you and I'm really mad at myself. I don't think I'm ever gonna forgive myself" he stuttered "I... I want you to forgive me... I've been so pathetic all my life and I've made really pathetic decisions". He paused and laughed a little. I could tell he was drunk. "Who am I kidding, you don't need me. I don't deserve your forgiveness". His voice began to break and he sniffled  "you don't need to see me ever again, not you or anyone because I'm a self righteous jerk!" He raised his voice "a shitty liar and a betrayer!" He lowered his voice "I'm truly sorry Lucy. Bye and have a great life"

The message ended and I could sense Lucy's heart was racing from the expression on her face. Deep down I felt Jordan deserved whatever was happening to him but Lucy didn't feel the same.

"I have a feeling he's in danger" she said

"Why do you care Lucy, he tried to kill you"

"That is not what matters now, something terrible could be happening to him right now" she paused "he saved me too and you know it"

I scoffed "I really can't believe you right now. I saved you and Jordan didn't"

"Jayden, I really can't deal with this right now. Jordan is probably going to kill himself and I can't sit and watch. You have to help me get to him. It's fine if you don't want to, but just do this for me, please"

"Fine, get in the car" I sighed

She hopped into the passenger's seat. I walked over, got into the driver's seat and started the car.

"Where do you think he is?" I asked driving into the street.

"School, the rooftop"

"Are you sure about that?"

"Yeah, we meet up there sometimes"

"Just great" I muttered

She gave me a look and I didn't respond. She just remained silent and looked away. I really didn't want to start a fight with her but the way she cared for Jordan pissed me off.
