ALL BEHIND IT

Chapter Seven

Jayden –
The atmosphere was tense, bullets were coming from different directions, I was panicking and now wasn’t the right time to show it. The assassins had fallen for the trap and at the moment we were in the same building with them. They were so skilled that I almost began to doubt myself, we were almost outnumbered.
Suddenly, the lady I saw earlier came in and fired continuously at the assassins until they all dropped dead, everyone was astonished except from me, she was good with the guns but she still made me feel uncomfortable.

“Nice job” the other agents complimented
But something wasn’t right, while she was attacking the assassins, none of them fired back and this was totally improper.

We began to examine the bodies on the floor “everyone spread out” the commander said. I squatted beside a body o search for necessary information. But to my greatest surprise, I found nothing, no ID card, no cell phone, no inner weapon, no recording chip, nothing. I removed the gloves the person had on and I was more than shocked – there were no fingerprints.

“I don’t think these are human beings!” I announced

“What do you mean” someone said

“Take off their gloves, there are no fingerprints”

“He’s right, there are no finger prints” the commander said.

I ripped off one of the fingers, and there were sparking circuits

“They’re robots!” I announced again. I pulled off the masks of the bodies around me and all the faces were identical. We had been tricked by the assassins.

“This is a trap” the commander said into his receiver “I repeat, this is a trap, agents around the building stay alert and reinforce your weapons, this is not a drill, I repeat, this is not a drill”

I looked around and the strange lady was gone. I looked at one of the bodies beside me and I noticed a tattoo on its neck, I brought out my cell phone and took a shot, it could be evidence. Suddenly the visuals of the robots began to blink with red lights

“Everyone stay alert and focused” the commander said “these are not bombs, wear your face masks, its gas”

We simultaneously wore our face masks and soon the room was filled with gas, I knew something suspicious was going on at the moment and then this thought flashed through my mind – the target sir Gregory. I reached for one of the doors only to find out that it was locked. I aimed at the lock and fired a shot at it; I got out holding my gun close to me and walking carefully alongside the other agents.

“Everyone spread out and find those criminals”

I checked everywhere within my reach and found nothing except from one room. I went in and found a wig, some lady clothes and a pair of shoes and this only meant one thing – the items belonged to the strange lady. My assumptions were correct, she was a spy. I ran out of the building, on getting outside, I sighted a black van driving off. I got into one of the combat cars and followed the van.

Lucy –
“Why do you have to be so stupid!” I yelled “you were meant to tighten the movement within the building like I told you to!”

“I’m sorry” the Goth I yelled at begged “I did it like you told me to, someone better than me disrupted everything”

“You are meant to be the best” I said “that’s you’re part of this mission” I sighed

“I can fire several bullets at the car; I just need your order”

“Don’t bother” I said “it’s just one person, he’s no match for all of us, let’s focus on our target”.
