[Your POV]

I hurried out of the lab and towards the dojo, ready to spill the recent information to Raph, Leo, and Splinter. Veronica stayed in the lab with Mikey and Donnie called April and Casey.

As I got closer to the dojo, I tiptoed and leaned my ear against the sliding door. It was silent and I put my hand on the door when Raph's voice piped up. "You are pathetic."

"Splinter said arguing will bring us nowhere." I heard Leo's voice say.

"I'm not trying to argue." Raph said. "You are pathetic...for falling for someone so quickly."

"H-How is that not you trying to argue!?"

"Haha! You stuttered!"

"Shut up!"

"Yameru!" Splinter's voice entered the room. "Raphael, you are excused. Leonardo, I wish to speak with you." I heard Raph blow a raspberry and I hobbled out of the way as his shadow approached the door. When he opened the sliding door, his eyes landed on me. His eyes widened and a smirk appeared on his face. He closed the door and huddled next to me, rubbing his hands together.

"This is gonna be good." He whispered. We both leaned against the door, listening to what Leo and Splinter were talking about. I felt a little bad at first, eavesdropping, but now Raph was curious as well. At least if I get caught, I won't be alone.

"Leonardo, my son...I understand your feelings. We will allow (Y/N)'s friends Veronica, Blake, and Zion to stay here if they should be saved. Although it may a little cramped...I would not mind the company." Splinter said, allowing Leo to have a sigh of relief. "However...I will allow this on one condition."

"Yes, master?"

Splinter sighed. "When I first let you go and see New York, I told you not to talk to strangers and not to get involved and to avoid bathrooms." He said. I smiled. "But as you've gotten older and you've met wonderful people, like April and Casey - you've gained more experience as not only a ninja...but as a teenager."

"...What?"

"You and your brothers are teenagers and I feel as though I failed to take that into account when I allowed you to see the surface of New York." Splinter said. "Yes, you are ninjas, and you are protecting this city with your lives. But you are also teenagers and you should experience those parts of your life as well. You are my sons and I don't want you to feel like your entire life needs to be about missions and saving the city. Although that is still important, you should also be able to act like your age. Well...you, Raph, and Donnie. Mikey already does."

"Master Splinter, what exactly are you proposing? What is this condition? I-I don't wanna sound rude or anything, I hope it's not coming off that way..."

"Leo, I want you to follow your heart. Listen to what it desires. What you desire. Who you desire." Splinter said. "That is all. You may return to the lab."

"...Thank you, sensei."

Raph pulled my arm and we hurried back to the lab without making a sound. We closed the door behind us and I let out the breath I'd been holding. "What's wrong, (Y/N)?" Veronica asked. I looked around to see everyone had our eyes on us.

"Oooooo I know what you're doing." Mikey said with a wink.

"He really doesn't." Donnie whispered. "I won't pry though. April and Casey are on their way. After that, we'll devise a plan on what to do."

Leo entered the room and all our eyes landed on him. He looked at me and his cheeks went red. "Any, uh, new developments?" He asked shyly.

"Actually, we've made a development that could save not only our lives, but the lives of the entire world." Donnie said. We explained everything that Veronica had discovered. The deciphering, the monster, and the date.
