Chapter Sixteen

[Leo's POV]

"Okay, fearless leader, what's the plan?" Raph asked as we all gathered around the kitchen counter. Donnie stood next to me with a huge rolled up paper and I nodded. We spread it over the counter and used some cans to pin down the corners.

"We can't give up the box, that's for sure. We have no idea if what Tigerclaw said was true or not about the Yara-Ma-Yha-Who escaping on it's own. We'll keep it in the lair and Veronica and Donnie have offered to hang back and keep an eye on it. As for the bargain Tigerclaw mentioned..."

Donnie reached under the counter and pulled out a replica of the infamous box. Everyone's eyes widened.

"Whoa! Are you sure that's not the real thing?" Mikey asked, staring at it with shining eyes.

"I'm positive. Uhh, Veronica helped me make it." He said bashfully, his cheeks going pink as she smiled at him. "Make sure not to open it. All you need to do is hand it over to Tigerclaw and then find a way to free (Y/N)."

"Isn't he gonna know it's a fake though?" April asked.

"That's exactly why we filled it up with toxic roaches!" Veronica said with a smile, running her hand over the box. "The cockroaches are painted with a toxic spray that only affects cats. It should work on Tigerclaw. But as for the others, that'll be up to you to handle."

"You think we can take on Fishface, Bebop, Rocksteady, AND Rahzar!?" April cried, glaring at Veronica.

"I do believe it is possible, since you are all well trained ninjas. You yourself, April, are being trained as a kunoichi by Splinter himself. I believe you all have the perfect capabilities to defeat them with the correct strategy, which Leo is about to tell you about." Veronica countered with a grin. April glanced at Donnie and folded her arms with a huff.

"Casey and April, you two will be put in charge of taking out any foot clan guards and keeping watch." Leo explained. "Raph, Mikey, and I will make our way through the lair. Donnie will be communicating with us through the T-phone and telling us how to disarm the system and take out the cameras. You two need to keep an eye on the cameras and tell us if they come back online."

"And where do you think they'll be hiding (Y/N)?" Mikey asked curiously.

"I'm gonna guess either the dungeon or Stockman's lab." Leo guessed.

"Why Stockman's lab?" Mikey asked.

"Because the dungeon would be too obvious. Stockman's lab has the huge container of mutagen, which they could use against us. So we're gonna check both just in case. Raph and Mikey will go to the dungeon and I'll head to the lab."

"You're gonna go by yourself?" Raph asked.

"I'll be fine." I reassured. "Besides - this will most likely just be an in and out operation. We're only there to rescue (Y/N), and maybe find out more information on this weird box. But our main priority is saving our friend."

"Uh huh..." Raph rolled his eyes and grinned. I blushed. Yeah...friend...(Y/N)'s a friend...at least right now.

"T-The point is..." I stammered. "We need to do this, and we need to do it as soon as possible. Especially with the release of the Yara-Ma-Yha-Who still up in the air."

"Are we ready?" Casey asked, slinging one of his hockey sticks over his shoulder. I nodded.

Raph, Mikey, and I huddled together on the building opposite of Shredder's lair. April and Casey were hijacking the system. They would not only shut down the cameras, but also any Footbots that would be out patrolling. "There's a blue, yellow, and red wire." I heard April say through the T-phone. We were all currently on a joint call.
