Monday came around and the shift in project supervisor had been advised. This wasn't new territory as it was common for Neon Solutions work flow to shift everyone's role around. That's how they pin pointed the strengths and weaknesses of those they employed. This meant that we had a week until hand over, and I was selected to supervise the project between Shaun's company and my own. We did not need to visit so frequently, but our CEO leaned to the skittish side of things when it involved big earnings so we all made it an unspoken rule to keep out and about so that we were not subjected to the unnecessary pressure of the constant checkup. I'm sure Shaun would have appreciated the same modus operandi. I knew he wasn't a people's person so it was a bit of a take back when we reached the office and ran in to him in the reception. He had on a grey button up shirt that was tucked in to sleek black pants that held on to him without the strain of fabric. The style was accentuated by the slim black tie that was held to his body by a shiny silver pin near his navel. His hair was carefully molded up and back with a path that ran in line with the middle of his left eye brow and parted the hair to fall on either side of it – all poise without over greasing it. I had to bite my bottom lip to avoid gaping but I doubt he noticed that. Shaun rushed his greetings with Royce and I and explained that Dean was in the conference room while he would join us later. He proceeded to flash his charming smile at the woman who was already in reception, and lead her down in to the hallway to another office. She was clearly as smitten with Shaun as I was with the way she was swaying her hips. Such an obvious show.

"I'll go meet with Dean so you check on the progress of the team in the C section," Royce advised before he patted my shoulder and zoomed off. "Don't forget to tell them that we are pulling out end of week for the finishing touches."

I nodded, snapping back to the task at hand.

We would make short work of the schedule, Royce and Dean walking about to review some of the purchases and discussing the discounts they got and the days to come ahead while I spoke to our workers and updated our photo records and managers via call. I put down my note pad and pens and also stuck my hand in to some of the manual work, seeing the oversight in some areas and redirecting their focus before leaving satisfied. It was nearly over and that meant this project would soon be the end of common ground. I couldn't use this as an excuse to meet Shaun anymore.

As if the mere thought of him was enough to summon him, Shaun came in to view with his hands in his pockets and furrowed brows. He was effortlessly hot when he wore formal wear.

"Sorry everyone, I didn't intend for that meet to be long. I double booked myself," Shaun grumbled as he unsheathed his right hand to shake Royces' hand and then mine.

He gave me a subtle squeeze and held my hand a second longer before release. I looked at him and noticed that he intentionally kept his eyes on Royce, a smirk pulling at his lips as he spoke to Dean and Royce. That was intentional. I picked up my note pad and pen, shaking my head as I chuckled. Two can play at this.

"You ok Fabien?"

I nodded and looked at Royce when he spoke to me. "I'm good. I checked all sections and advised the C section of their schedule change so that they can finish the job. We're on track so it looks like we can hand over this week."

"Handover?" Shaun asked, shifting his weight on to his right leg as he pocketed his right hand once more.

"Yeah. We monitor the progress till it's eighty percent done and then move some staff around to start and finish projects. It's our policy and also the way we keep our workers interest in the job," Royce provided as Dean nodded along.
