Alex loves me.
He really loves me.
My eyes welled up with tears at his words. I was bursting with joy.
Nathan was speechless.
He didn't say anything as he walked past me. He stared at me with sorrowful eyes.
Alex walked inside, he looked surprised to see me standing there.
"I'm guessing you heard that?" He chuckled awkwardly.
"Yes I did." I blushed.
Alex walked up to me and engulfed me in a hug.
"I want to make you happy and I never want to see you stop smiling. I'd do anything for you. These last few months have made me realise how much I care about you and want to be with you. You make me so happy. I love spending time you. You're so sweet and kind. I adore your free spirit and the way you won't settle for any less than you deserve. I love you." When he said those words I completely broke down.
To be loved is such a great feeling. It's just as good as giving love.
"Alex you've been there for me and I can't get over the way you make me feel. You've been there for me through thick and thin. You never gave up on me. You're such a sweetheart and you make me so happy. Your smile, your sense of humor and the way you act, I just can't get over you. I love you too." I sobbed as I hugged him tightly.
"Awww you're such a cry baby." He teased and I giggled.
"Hey atleast I'm your crybaby." I winked.
"I wouldn't want it any other way." He leaned in and kissed my lips.

Nathan's POVHe loves Annette. I couldn't believe it. It pissed me off. In fact it hurt me so much because I know she moved on without me. As she said, I'm just a sperm doner to her.
I fucked up everything. I'm nothing but a screw-up.
I parked my car and went into the house. The house Annette and I created so many memories in. She was right, I brought another woman in our home and ruined everything.
When I arrived home, Evie wasn't in sight. Where the hell was she?
I called her but she didn't answer. What was she doing?
She didn't even make lunch or left anything to eat.
Some minutes later I heard the door open. Evie walked in with lots of bags in her hand.
"Oh hey babe, you're back." She smiled when she saw me.
"I went shopping. There were so many sales. I couldn't help myself." She grinned.
"Evie I'm hungry, I thought you'd have cooked."
"I was busy and I'm not your babysitter Nathan." She rolled her eyes.
"Annette would have always made me lunch. She never made me starve."
"Why are you comparing me to her? And stop being dramatic, you aren't starving."
"I'm not comparing you both. It's just the little things Evie. The little things matter."
"I'm pregnant, you can't expect me to be your maid." She snapped.
"Oh but you're walking around shopping and spending my money. Are you serious?"
"I needed new clothes Nathan. In case you forgot, you got me pregnant. So do me a favor and give me a break."
"Whatever. I'll just order a pizza." I sighed and she smiled.
"See? Was that hard? I'm gonna go relax on the patio. You can join me when the pizza arrives. Oh and make sure it's pepperoni. And bring me a canned coke when you're coming." She said as she left the room with the bags in her hand.
