The three of them rushed inside the door and bolted the door shut behind them. It was the kitchen. There was just two other nuns in the kitchen with them, looking shaken and dishevelled. They were holding each other and crying softly.
Karen supported Foggy into the kitchen and made him sit on the floor, leaning on the lower cupboard. Anthony was seeing Foggy clearly for the first time since he got shot. The bullet had caught him right in the biceps. He had lost a good amount of blood and looked pale. Karen went straight to the two nuns.
"Do you have any First-Aid kits?" She asked them.
"We don't have any in the kitchen." The shorter nun of the two answered. "You have to go to the adjacent rooms."
"Shit!" Karen swore.
She reached Foggy's side again and tried to comfort him.
"It's okay. I've been shot before." Foggy smiled painfully. "Remember being in that DA Reyes' office?"
"Yeah, yeah! I remember it like it was yesterday." Karen said. She searched in her pockets for a kerchief to tie around his arm or any cloth to staunch his blood.
That's when she realised something. Shocked, she turned around and searched the entire kitchen floor with her eyes.
Her eyes fell on Anthony.
He was holding the very thing she was searching for and she had no idea when he took it from her.
She finally found it!
"Anthony, give the gun to me!" Karen said, frowning.
Anthony looked at the Glock 33 and back at Karen, defiantly. He had made his mind while he was running towards the kitchen. There was no going back anymore. The arrival of Daredevil had changed things.
"No", he muttered in a shaky voice.
"An..Tony, Give it to me. Come on! What are you doing?"
"NO!"
The sound of his voice bellowing rebounded off every surface in the kitchen and was amplified in a way that couldn't be explained by anybody. Even Anthony himself felt slightly threatened by the sound of his own voice. At that moment, he didn't sound like a twenty one year old. He sounded a lot like Godwin Williams himself.
Foggy intervened. "Tony, what's gotten into you? What's wrong?"
"I'll tell you what's WRONG!" Anthony banged on the door behind him. "I am a twenty one year old boy who lost his father a fecking 6 days ago. I should be in the prison but I am not. If that wasn't enough, I killed an innocent fecking woman. And now, I am being hunted down by the biggest crime lord in New York City WILSON FISK", He banged on the door when he uttered the name, "and the very men I worked with....GOBSHITES EATING SONS-OF-BITCHES KITCHEN IRISH!" He banged the door again.
"There are a group of fifteen to twenty fecking men out there who want to gun me down who would have gunned me down if they didn't want to gun down each other first. So tell me, what's NOT WRONG, Foggy? WHAT'S NOT WRONG?"
Karen was kneeling down, lost for words. She seemed to be silenced by Anthony's loss of temper. Perhaps the stress of the past few days was getting to her. However, Foggy still seemed to be in control of what's happening.
Foggy tightened his grip on his arm and inched closer. "Look, I know things are bad right now. But Daredevil is here. The police sirens can be heard. They are here. We will get out of this. Once we do, we will get into police protection and we will get you into the-"
