"Where is my son?" Midnight snapped as Ivy laughed folding her arms. "That annoying little brat? Oh I just caught him after he escaped me, here I'll show you him." Ivy vanished and reappeared (still in the form of Silver) holding a limp body by it's shirt. Midnight screamed in horror. "My sweet baby boy! What have you done to him?!" In Ivy's clutches was Aaron while his limbs only hung loose; blood soaked most of his tattered clothing, and it was also smeared and dried on his skin. "I tortured him. I told him if he tried anything he would have to be punished...Oh wait actually I didn't." Taunted Ivy who held out the word told, as Midnight was only gritting her teeth and clenching her fist. "Well I gotta run. I hope to be back for some more fun soon." Said Ivy with her voice full of mockery, Abigail glared and swirled her hand. Following in a matter of seconds a fireball was hurled straight at Ivy; who then only vanished right before it could hit her. It was silent until Midnight ran over to her son and cradled his limp body, wailing and weeping at the same time. She placed two finger's on her son's wrist, and his neck she could barely make out the faint trace of a pulse. "He's still breathing we need to get him back home, and to the Medical Wing now!" Quickly standing up and teleporting to the Medical Wing back in Nightwick, everyone followed and surrounded their leader to protect her son, her unborn child, and herself in case 'Silver' returned. While Midnight immediately was stripped of her son by the Doctors, she then tried to follow them only to find that the Nurses blocked her from continuing and took hold of her. "Miss you can't go-" One started before getting cut off by Midnight screaming at her. "NO! THAT'S MY SON PLEASE! THAT'S MY BABY BOY AND I AM HIS MOTHER HE NEEDS ME!" After multiple attempts to try and get to her son she was 'escorted', to a room where she would wait for her son to be brought to. The next three hours was nothing but waiting...And waiting...And waiting which only made Midnight's stress levels increase. "What if he won't be okay? But then what if he his? Will he-" All of these thoughts were jumbled around in her mind, the fear and the worry was eating at her it seemed. Just then the Doctors and Nurses wheeled in her son on a bed who was in much better shape. "It may be awhile before he comes around Miss, so if you need anything just let us know." Midnight nodded and sat by her son holding his small hand, and rubbing that small hand of his with her thumb. "Aaron?" She whispered to him hopeful for a response. Only the sound of silence greeted her, crestfallen she got up as Wolf and the rest of the crew came in to see how Aaron was doing. "You need to leave a minute?" Asked Abigail who spotted her friend creeping out the door. The only reply Abigail was given was a quick nod and the sound of feet, slapping against the ground that then echoed down the halls.

Midnight after running for what seemed like forever, had entered a small graveyard on the castle grounds. As she made her way over to a less older looking line of tombstones. She stared down at each one and read the names. Starting with the newest grave to then go on to read the rest. "Here lies Dusk Coralina Nightwick, may her change of heart never be forgotten.
Here lies Grayson William Nightwick, a innocent life stripped from this world. Here lies Anne Marie Wisecarver though only so young, her final moments of bravery will be honored. Here lies Nicolas Charles The Second, the loss of Nightwick's greatest King will never go unmourned.
Here lies Marina Vivian Nightwick, a Queen who shared nothing but kindness and who was robbed from the Kingdom of Nightwick." As Midnight finished reading each tombstone she couldn't hold it in, she fell to her very knees and sobbed even her shoulders shook with each cry. "I failed all of you..." She choked out as she was still crying. "I failed you D-Dusk I failed to save you when you for the first time went and saved me. And A-Anne if only I didn't go and be so stupid, and had just followed orders I never would have brought you to your death." Midnight then began to weep even more then before. "Grayson I'm sorry I didn't know you were looking for me! If I had only been able to save you and gotten you out of harms way you would be here still. Now you'll never have another birthday, and you never will loose your first tooth. And you never will go to your first day of school...All because of me!" Turning to the last tombstones it only grew worse for Midnight and her guilt. "Father I should have obeyed you that night, then maybe you would have had died in a far more honorable way. You wouldn't have been so distracted by your disobedient daughter, and you might've just been able to keep on fighting. Until you did meet your match eventually, and you could have went down the way a ruler should. I failed you too...Oh Mother...I know you probably since I was eight and on that night, have been so disappointed in me. And by what I had done to cause all of this. But I didn't mean for all of this to happen, I never could live up to Dusk to try and impress you. Never could I be responsible like you wanted, and though I claimed I was responsible that night proved everything you said was true. And I have failed you...As your d-daughter-" Midnight then pulled at her hair and tilted her head back and screamed, tears poured down her face as she then leaned her head on her Mother's tombstone. "Ever since that night I've been responsible the most I could be, but once again I didn't apply that responsibly to everything I did. And now I've not only failed you Mother but also Father, Anne, Gracen, Dusk, and now most likely my son. I was so busy trying to live up to what you would have wanted me to be that I barely payed enough attention to my son. I haven't been responsible for my own child and now it's gotten me here. If I can't be responsible to care for my own son now, I certainly can't be responsible enough to care for my own unborn child either." She whispered. As she pulled out flowers placing them on each grave. She stood back up and only whispered. "I can't fail my son like I failed all of you, I swear I will keep on living and not fail my son. Or your deaths might as well be in vain. That I will not allow." With that she tried as quickly as possible to wipe away her tears, and turned to walk back into the castle. As she was doing so a warm breeze that suddenly came seemed to surround Midnight. And as it did so Midnight smelled something she had forgotten of since she was five years old. The remembering scent of vanilla for the first time in years seemed to engulf her just as the breeze did. The only thing as warm and comforting as this strange breeze, was when Midnight would receive her Mother's hugs as a little girl. And each time she would receive those hugs the one thing she always remembered, was that her Mother always smelled of vanilla.
