(A/N) I know I've repeated things from what's going to be below each chapter, I did it for a reason. It's like each time a piece is added onto it. Those of you who may have figured that already. Good job. The rest of you just thought you should know. Because this will explain the entire reasoning behind why and who Ivy truly is. Okay with that said I shall shut up now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Flashback~
"Come on Monica!" Screamed Marina (who was only a child at the time) who was running down the streets of Nightwick. Ivy (Monica) followed her Best Friend while running her hat flew off, as she ran back to grab it she was stopped by a group of townspeople. "Oh so it's another one of these Witches?" Snarled one. Monica whimpered and quickly picked up her hat before backing away. "Someone put it out of its misery." Said a Woman with a sly grin. Monica never felt so helpless; as she thought this was it Marina ran over glaring. "All of you this is my Friend! Begone before I have you thrown in the dungeons!" With that the townspeople scattered. "Thanks." Said Monica as she was helped up. "Don't mention it. Also, don't let what they said get to you." Monica looked at Marina intently before replying. "I wish I could be as pretty as you. I also wish I wasn't a stupid Witch." Marina gasped and grabbed Monica. "Don't ever say such things! You are pretty no matter what!" Monica tilted her head and smiled. "Really? Thanks." With that the two hugged before starting off again. If only things hadn't went so wrong...Years passed and the two continued to stay friends that is until Monica (Ivy) was eighteen. Monica raced to the castle excitedly, she couldn't wait to see Marina and tell her everything that had happened recently. As she arrived at the gates she stopped in her tracks, Marina was already there and staring at her. "Hey Marina!" She cried waving before noticing that her friend didn't respond or wave back like usual. She tilted her head before walking over. "Marina are you okay? What's wrong?" She said as she went to place a hand on her shoulder. "No! Don't touch me!" Snarled Marina as the witch took a step back confused. "M-Marina? I don't understand. We're best friends-" She started before Marina cut her off. "I could never be friends with someone like you." Monica didn't believe her at first. "You don't mean that." "I do I can never be friends with a hideous creature like you." Those words felt like she had just been stabbed. Monica blinked back tears before running back into town, then she began to sob. She ran into her house and up the stairs, as she heard her mother calling for her (who had noticed her come in along with a group of witches who were visiting). Monica slammed her bedroom door shut as she practically screamed and cried. She plopped down onto the stool in front of her vanity. She slowly looked up only to quickly turn away, not wanting to look at her reflection. She took her hat off before glaring at it, and screamed before she threw it. "You were the only friend I ever had. Why?!" She wailed burying her head into her hands. After that day she vowed revenge on Midnight's mother, and she vowed to find a way to not be what people call a witch. "Monica? Sweetheart?" Said her mother opening the bedroom door. "No. Please. Just go away." She said barely above a whisper, while she cried in between each word. The witch's mother ignored her daughter, and rushed over before sitting on the end of the bed with her. Monica laid in her mother's lap weeping, as her mother silently was playing with her hair. "Sh. Calm down. Just what happened?" Monica took a deep breath before speaking. "I went to see Marina and when I got there, she was waiting for me. But she was also acting real funny, so I went to comfort her. Then she wouldn't let me near her and said she, could never be friends with someone like me. I didn't believe her and tried to comfort her again, and when I did...S-She said she could never be friends with a h-hideous creature like m-me." She said choking before and starting to cry again. Monica's mother felt her heart break into pieces, she had never seen her daughter so upset. She quickly sat her daughter back up, and brushed back loose strands of her hair. "I think your wonderful. Don't let anyone ever get to you like that-" She started before Monica shook her head. "I just want to be as beautiful as you. What spell did you use?" She asked. Monica's mother blushed a little, because of the fact she had never used a spell. She had just happened to be a naturally gorgeous woman. "I never used a spell Monica darling." She said softly as Monica began to whimper. "Then I'm doomed." Monica wailed while covering her face with her hands. "Monica listen to me carefully. Looks aren't everything. Someone can be the most beautiful person in the world only on the outside. Then the most ugliest person on the inside. And vice versa so I want you to remember that. And remember the saying for it...Pretty is as pretty does." Monica sniffled before wiping away a few tears, and then laid back down on her mother's lap. "I don't want to be a witch anymore." She said before closing her eyes.
Months went by and Monica (Ivy) took a job with working for the squids. She was amazing at science so she thought, it would be the best job for her to take. She was terrible at magic to be honest, as far as she was concerned she didn't have magic. She could never get spells to work or create potions either. Her first few months there were great, she had invented many different kinds of products. With the equipment and resources they provided her, of course her favorite thing to do was make products to help with beauty. She had helped many people, by making those products. Some that would restore any hair loss within seconds, as well as help with the skin. She had a gift that was the only thing, she had to be proud of about herself. Until one afternoon..."Hey I thought I told you that until I'm done analyzing, these two DNA samples from different mobs you can't be in here." Monica fussed to her new (not so professional) employee. The young man only rolled his eyes at her. "Your no fun witch." Monica froze. "You know I hate to be called that." She whispered raising a hand to her chin, trying to hide a wart that recently had appeared. She looked back down at the DNA samples, while being completely humiliated at once. She paused realizing she would need to get her gloves before she touched the samples. "I'll be right back. Don't. Touch. Anything." She said to the man before walking away for a moment. When she returned she was presented with the biggest surprise of her life. "What did you do?!" She screamed as she rushed over to the man. "I don't know what happened- The samples just I knocked them over and they got on me." Monica grew pale. "Hopefully nothing too severe will happen-" She started before the man screamed, and doubled over in pain. Monica screamed and took a step back as the man changed right before her very eyes. "Help!" She screamed as a few guards came in and shoved her out the way. The guards then dragged the poor man away as she tried to stop them. "Your a genius Monica! Crossing DNA's with other species! This idea is revolutionary!" Stated her boss while running out excitedly. Monica only stood in silence. She had accidentally created the very first hybrid...
