~Flash Back~

"Yeah Aaron!" Cheered Midnight who was clapping and giggling watching Aaron, from his high chair dig into his cake. Midnight then sat in a chair, in front of him with napkins and cleaning him up every so often. She couldn't help but look at her son it was the first time she realized, that he was a spitting image of her. Just except his hair was shorter by far and his eyes weren't- Well you know white. As she thought about all of this she was grateful her son didn't get her eyes, she would have felt horrible if he did just horrible. She may act in front of her army like she didn't care, because she's their leader she had to look like she's carefree always. But secretly she was ashamed of her looks all the time she had contemplated many times, digging out her old cloak and sunglasses from her earlier years. Sometimes even when she was alone she would cry, or cry herself to sleep at night. The thought that still haunted her even up to present time the most though, was what struck her to the core while she was lost in thought. Aaron her son had a Brine Hybrid for a Mother, many humans hated her already. She'd been judged by her looks for years by humans. All because she looked like a Brine sure she looked very well indeed like a Brine, through and through but she didn't act like one. So why was she treated so? And when Aaron grew up if humans found out she was his Mother, would they treat him just like her? Midnight snapped out of her thoughts when she realized, that everything she looked at was casting a white glow. Quickly looking in a mirror she realized her eyes were glowing it had been some time actually. Panicking she would possibly blind her son, she covered her eyes with her hands the best she could. Suddenly she froze when she heard giggling. Slowly peeking out between the gaps of her fingers, she saw Aaron giggling away apparently he found what she was doing quite humorous. Midnight then smiled a small smile, "Happy First Birthday my baby boy..."
