Chapter Thirty-Five

Abigail sharpened her weapons in Mid's castle before going to the Hybrids Camp, she then cleared her throat. "Everyone, Midnight has been captured by Ivy. Our goal here is to find Mid, and rescue her! Perhaps if Ivy is there at the time we will capture her alive!" "I'm in the mood to bust some heads." Wolf smiled then got her sword. "Great because I'm ready to get my Best Friend back! Once I see Ivy I call dibs though!" Abigail shouted. "Hey! I'm starting to get annoyed with that girl and was looking forward to seeing her bleed. Oh well." Wolf shrugged. "Well we need her alive anyways so no dibs." Replied Abigail frowning. "What if she comes back with less limbs?" "We need her in one piece." Said Abigail blandly. Wolf grumbled then started to sharpen her sword. "Fine. When do we leave?" Abigail looked over making eye contact. "We leave now. Some of the others are already rounded up, and will be joining us." "Perfect." Replied Wolf. "Time to bust some heads." Wolf then took off her vest, snapping out her wings. "Did I ever tell you that your wings are flipping awesome?" Asked Abigail laughing while half of her face turned into the face of a Blaze. Wolf grinned before replying, "Did I ever say your face is flipping awesome?" Abigail's eyes widened. As she put her hand over half of her face. "Naw it's really weird." She mumbled slightly embarrassed. "Weird is cool." Said Wolf with a smile. Abigail then removed her hand with a small smile on her face. "Well that makes me feel a bit better." Wolf then continued. "After all, we're all undoubtably awesome." "Yes we are." Giggled Abigail as CJ appeared. "Everyone ready to go get Mid back?" He asked. "Oh yeah!" Shouted Wolf. "Let's go then!" He cried as his eyes flashed white, then back to their usual hazel color. CJ then bolted into the forest; with Abigail close behind him. While she was grinning and almost acting childlike. Wolf took off, her wings were beating silently; as she glided through the air. CJ was now far ahead and so was Wolf, leaving Abigail to fall behind. "Wait up guys!" She yelled floating up to join Wolf. Wolf for Abigail's sake slowed down a bit; then looked over her shoulder. "Hurry up slowpoke!" A member of the Hybrid Army known as Alma, was one of the few to join them on their mission. While she was looking around she observed her fellow comrades. "Oh god, help me. I'm so happy I don't have wings." Alma muttered as she floated upward. "So someone fill me in here." Abigail looked at Alma giving a rather simple answer. "Midnight has been kidnapped by Ivy." Alma took in what she said then nodded. "Does anyone have any ideas as to where Ivy may be?" Abigail (who wasn't paying much attention) answered Alma. "Well she's our enemy, and she kidnapped Midnight-" Alma sighed then shook her head. "I mean Midnight. When did you notice she was missing? Also have you ever thought about allying with Ivy?" Abigail only gave her an are you joking look. "Ivy wants us all dead and she's possibly working for someone. We found a note in Midnight's bedroom from Ivy, after we found that she was missing last night." Alma nodded once more. "Do you know where Ivy's base is?" "...No..." Replied Abigail who was staring at her feet. "Random though maybe I could lead us." Wolf said earning a glare from the others. "I'm kidding!" Alma shook her head at Wolf. "Can this wait?" Abigail then in an attempt to ease any tension spoke. "Well until we find Midnight, Wolf your in charge." Wolf took the moment to feel extremely proud. "That's right! I'm in charge! I think we can track Mid if we have something of her's-" Abigail piped up. "That or since we can all sense other powerful beings, we could just try to track her that way too. We should probably see if CJ can do that for us." CJ then looked over with an alarmed look. "Why me?!" He whined. "Because we said so." Said Wolf with a grin. "Fine." Huffed CJ pointing straight ahead. "Follow me-" "Wolf." A familiar dull voice came from behind, and his finger started poking at Wolf's shoulder. "Zero!" Wolf turned around thrilled at seeing her friend had joined them on their mission. There was a certain flicker in Zero's eyes. He gave a soft, calming stare. But nonetheless, cued his signature awkward silence. He looked at the others then back at Wolf. Ranger rolled her eyes, and marched over shoving them both aside. "Enough with the love fest you two and let's move." "It wasn't a love fest!" Shouted Wolf and Zero in sync. "That's exactly what two people having a love fest would say!" Before the two could say anything else Ranger rushed off. She was just as ready to get Midnight back like everyone else. This time she wouldn't let anyone down.
