𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐀 𝐁𝐎𝐃𝐄I put the lighter on the dresser in order. I love my things in a particular way. I wiped the tears off my eye.
The pains the burns gave were nothing compared to the pains in my heart. The burns didn't even cause any form of pain. I was used to it.
"What are you still doing here?" I jumped in fright. It was my younger sister, Nova.
"What d'you want exactly?" I questioned her which earned me an eye roll.
"Mom said to call you downstairs."
"Whatever!" She got the memo and left. I brushed my silk hair and left it cascading down my shoulders.
I ran down the stairs leading to the kitchen. She was there. She looked lost. She's been looking that since I got back from the hospital.
"Yeah? You sent for me." I called her attention.
"Oh yeah." She looked at me for the longest of time, squinting her eyes.
"How are you?" What? I wanted to walk out, but there was a way she said it that made me stay back.
She was worried.
Who wouldn't be? Your first child going to the psychiatric hospital is really something.
"Mom, I'm fine." She kept on giving me that look.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes mom. I'm sure" I said going an octave higher than expected.
"I'm sorry. But I'm just worried. It's been hard. This year has been really tough for us. And you?... I just want to make sure you're okay."
"I'm not going to say I'm okay again. I'll be going over to Kanye's now."
"Oh okay. Send him my regards." I left the house and began my journey to his house. His house was not far from mine.
On getting to his house, I rung the bell that was attached to the gold gate. The gate was soon opened by the security guard.
"Is Kanye home?" I asked him and he nodded.
"Yes, he's home. Come in." I walked in and continued my journey into the house.
When i opened the entrance door, I was greeted by noise of hormonal teenagers. Noise from the loud speakers and noise from shouts and loud yells.
It can only mean one thing.
Those bulldogs were home with him.
"Ahh, Amaria how are you?" I saw Umar approaching me and I smiled. I quickly ran to hug her.
I've missed her. It's been long I saw her last since I was admitted to the hospital.
"I'm fine, Umar. What about you?"
"I'm good. I was really worried when I heard about you-"
