The whole school was in frenzy about the whole breakup between Gold and Josiah. I couldn't even get peace in the school bus because everyone was talking about it.

Gold Oreva didn't take the school bus this morning and I was a bit relieved she didn't because the nasty comments that passed around was a little too much.

"Why are you looking lost, darling?" I turned to see a goofy Silvia. Silvia is always hyper in whatever situation she is in. I don't think I've ever seen her angry or sad.

"Nothing. How are you?" I asked her and she smiled before twirling in her school skirt.

"I'm beautiful. I haven't seen Diane in school yet." she told me and I scoffed. Diane never comes early to school.

"She'll be here by first period, don't worry." I told her and we walked hand in hand to the classroom.

I bumped into a sad looking Nana Kwame. She was the captain of the badminton team and was best friend to Muna and Teni.

Out of the three girls, the only one I could tolerate was the Muna girl. Maimuna had no issues, sometimes I feel she's not even needed in the group.

"I'm sure you've heard about the breakup?" I suddenly asked out of the blues. I noticed Silvia tensed but she masked it immediately with a smile.

"Breakup? What breakup? I don't understand."

"Don't give me that crap. I know you knew about it all along. Why do I feel that-"

"I instigated the whole breakup?" she asked. I wasn't going to put it that way but no other way could be better.

"I wasn't going to say that exactly."

"But that's what you meant. Listen, Awele. I know I've liked Josiah for a long time now without him realising it, but I'd never intentionally split him up. I just helped him realize the things that were going wrong in his relationship." I hugged her tightly.

"I'm sorry. I should stop assuming crazy things."

"Yeah, you should. Let's leave for assembly?" she suggested.

"I don't like assembly. I'll see you after class."She smiled and I walked into my class.

Him?

I saw him sitting on his desk with his face to his laps. His two index fingers were placed on the both sides of his temple.

"Uhhh...are you okay?" I asked him and he turned his face to me. His eyes were red, not like he was crying but like he was so angry and on the verge of tears.

"I'm fine. Just mind your business." he scoffed and turned back to his desk. He looked really mad, like he was trying so hard not to cry.

"I'm sorry for caring about a classmate who clearly doesn't acknowledge my effort." I headed back to my seat which was behind him.
