I felt really bad seeing my mom in the principal's office. Today wasn't supposed to be her day off because her shift was over and instead of resting, she's seated in the principal's office waiting for Teniola and her mother.
When she came home this morning, she asked if there was anything I'd like to tell her before she comes to my school but I didn't say anything else aside 'Don't come!'.
She still came and she's been patiently waiting for Teniola's mother for close to two hours now.
"I'm so sorry ma'am that you have to wait this long. I don't know why Ms Dayo is wasting this much time." that was the principal consoling my mom every ten minutes.
The door finally opened to reveal a dark skinned goddess in a sequined short gown and gold heels with an MK designer bag with a downcast Teniola trailing behind her.
Her face was all dolled up and she looked a lot like Teniola. Her aura commanded respect and the principal immediately stood up. My mom hadn't even passed her a glance once.
My mom was that snobbish.
"Welcome, ma." the principal said and she didn't even respond.
"I have a lot on my plate. I'll appreciate it if we get this over with." She said in a firm voice.
"Yeah so. I called this meeting because of something that went down two days ago in this school. This would have gotten into gistblogs and we all know what that would have done to the reputation of this school." He had just started but Ms Dayo was quick to interrupt.
"We? Am I the only one kept in the dark? What exactly happened? Go straight to the point and forget all these irrelevant things you're saying."
As rude and arrogant like her daughter. Now, I see where Teniola gets all her attitude from. I looked at Teniola who looked like she wanted to sprint away from here.
Well, who doesn't?
The principal sighed but said nothing. He passed a tablet to Ms Dayo who watched whatever was there with keen interest before tossing the tab on the mahogany table.
My mom picked it up and watched as well. I was behind my mother so I was able to see what she was watching.
Her expression was stoic as she watched me retch out my guts in my bathroom. I could feel her emotions waver, her walls breaking but she tried to remain strong in front of the rest.
"How does that disgusting video concern me? Why am I here? The only person that should be here is the woman who doesn't know what her daughter was suffering from." That was harsh.
I looked at my mother who said nothing. Her expression was giving nothing.
"Your daughter made that video." The principal told her and mom's head snapped at Teniola whose heads were still down.
I could understand Mom's shock because mom knew Teniola as my bestfriend. Teniola always came around so she knew her.
"I don't understand why she did that. Most of her classmates we interrogated said they're bestfriends so I'm more confused. They've both refused to speak up so maybe we can do it together." He said.
