Minho's POV

"And action!"

Snap! goes the clapperboard. I straighten up and look Hyunjin in the eye, his bruise completely concealed beneath all the makeup. It still hurt to look at, though—especially seeing how I'm the one that made it.

"What do you want with her?"

"Like I need to tell you. Everyone knows how infatuated you are with her. It's so obvious."

I feel my eyelids lower to create a catlike glare. Stuffing my hands in my pockets, I say, "it's not my fault, nor is it your concern who she hangs out with."

"Hey, guys!" Jia comes running on screen, the cameras passing my vision as I turn to look at her in her school uniform. She's out of breath by the time she reaches us. With one hand on Hyunjin's shoulder, she asks, "what have you guys been up to?"

Shrugging, I reply with, "just for a stroll. We were going to go to the river—"

"Cut! It's a lake!" Shouts Seungmin, the cameras and mics lowering with my head.

Felix slowly turns his head as he says, "technically, isn't it a pond?" The two make eye contact before Seungmin directs him on sticking to the script. Hyunjin lowers his head. We've done this scene six times now.

"It's a lake."

"Yep, got it. Sorry," I sigh. Hyunjin claps my back sympathetically. Jisung jogs over to me, the gravel kicking up behind him. The longer we stayed on this dirt road, the colder I was becoming. "Hey, how's it looking?" My breath came out visible and frosty.

"It looks amazing from my spot. I'm worried for this scene though." He looks past the clump of trees where the lake was. It was surprisingly empty today, but with school being cancelled, it made sense. However, the longer Jeongin was out of that hospital room, the closer we'd be to being confronted by the cops on it. No doubt they'll do it at school too.

Chris suddenly is running towards us with another camera—a much smaller one. "This is the GoPro. We'll use it to film in the water," he says in between gasps of breath.

"And the fake blood?" Jisung's thumbs twirl around each other, his bottom lip becoming the victim of his teeth.

A see-through bag looked to be used for pet fish is filled to the brim with crimson liquid, a simply knot tied at the top. Chris hands it to me to inspect. "Just let it go when you're in the water and it should look like your good ol' death took place," he says proudly whilst patting my back.

Jisung shudders. "Gosh, it's so cold. It shouldn't be safe for you to go in that water." He pauses to check back at the luring water again. "I just don't like it."

"But we prepared the warm pit for nothing then!" Changbin exclaims from the truck where he was currently pocketing hand-warmers in gloves for Hyunjin, Jia, and I when we emerge.

The scene was supposed to be when I drown, in which my death would take place. From there, Hyunjin would end up spiraled in guilt, even though he ends up with Jia in the end. It was a heavy scene and meant to be shot from many angles so it could be as realistic as possible. Chris wouldn't stop talking about how cinematic it'll be when it's pulled up on the projector at the competition.

My mindset was playing different though. I just needed today to be over already. Tonight, we all planned to throw a surprise party for Seungmin in Felix's attic. He asked his mom, and she was down for the idea. In all honestly, I really couldn't wait for the shower I'd get after this.

"Make sure those hand warmers are already hot by the time Minho climbs out of the water!" Jisung calls to the junior. The two exchange playful tease of sticking their tongues out at one another, reassuring me that I was indeed in love with a five-year-old.
