That day she didn't sleep, at all, this nightmarish memory of being into the upside down scared her all night, she was scared and alone she didn't know what to do so she made up her mind to talk to Joyce the next day

The next morning she told Steve she was feeling sick and didn't show up to school instead she went to the Byer's house as soon as she saw the house, she knew something was wrong, there was a police chief's car in the front, and the door was open though it was freezing

She ran inside and saw Will, Joyce and Hopper in a room while Will tried to explain something, due to the noise of her coming in they all turned around

"Sorry, didn't mean to barge in, can we talk?" she asked the two adults before both of them stepped out leaving Will there she closed the door and went outside

"What is it sweetie?" Joyce asked softly when she saw panick in the girl's eyes

"It's about yesterday, when I touched Will, I was there, in the upside down, with will" she paused to look at at them they urged her to continue "This big, black, misty thing was going inside of Will, and I tried to wake him up, move him, but I couldn't" she took a deep breath "I then, I ran a hand through this and it redirected itself towards me, but before it could I woke up"

"He said you saved him yesterday didn't he" Joyce asked the girl

"That's the thing, he thought I saved him, I don't know" she looked down

"Let's hear Will now?" Hopper asked the two as they all walked in

Will was trying to explain how he could see things or memories he couldn't before now, he was having a hard time explaining it

"What if you don't use words?" Belly asked looking at a drawing supposing Will was creator

And now Will was on his desk with multiple papers and crayons trying to draw what he saw as soon as he could

"Kiddo, I think you should head home now, your parents are probably worried" Hopper said to the girl heading out into the living room with her

"I can't, I mean, my dad's not in town and I am scared to be alone" she mumbled as Hopper sat down on the couch holding Will's drawing, Joyce came out with more as they both inspected it

"It's more of the same" She said

"It's nothing, It's just scribbles" Hopper said when Belly took a look at the one in Hopper's hand and the one in Joyce's hand, she took both of them as the adults just stared at her, she connected them

"The black, line, it connects" Joyce worded out for the girl as the three got to work arranging all of the drawings in order, Belly looked at the clock and figured it was he time school gets out

"Sorry, but I've gotta go" she said as she ran out and headed towards the school

She knew she'd see Max somewhere, everyone was heading outside with their bags, Belly looked around and saw her in a red jacket

"Hey-" she didn't even finish when Max walked right past her, Belly grabbed her arm turning her around "Hey, what's wrong?" she asked with concern in her voice

"Let me go" Max said looking at her arm

"That doesn't answer my question, and no I won't let go until you tell me what's wrong"

"You" Belly gave her a confused look "You are what's wrong, one day you act like you wanna talk to me, you wanna be my friend and the next you treat me like shit"

"Oh c'mon" Belly grunted "I don't do that on purpose, I wanna be your friend ofcourse but there are just things that are making me distance myself from you" she explained

"Well, hope you are enjoying those 'things'" Max pulled her arm away harshly

"The things are my feelings and I am very much not enjoying them" Belly grunted, Max stopped to look back for a second before walking away again "Max!" she called out and even though Max heard her she didn't bother turning around

Belly in defeat turned around and started to walk and that's when she saw Mike walking out with Dustin and Lucas in the back, he seemed in a hurry

"Hey Lucas" she pulled the guy away from the group "Hey I uh, I've been noticing, you really, like that Maxfield girl huh?" she asked purposefully messing up her name

"Yeah, I do like her but so does Dustin, so I don't know, why?" He asked

"Listen, I know a, good trick, if you promise to do something for me, I'll tell you how to get her" Belly spoke

"I am listening" Belly smiled

"So, you can uh, go to the arcade and uh talk with Keith, ask him to put an out of order on the dig dug machine and he can uh he will do that, you can take Max to the back room and tell her everything that's going on" she shrugged

"Alright, and what do I gotta do for you?" he asked

"About that, just tell her, that Belly was saying sorry yeah that's it" Belly nodded the guy nodded back smiling, and she spotted Steve "Gotta go" she said running towards Steve

"I thought you weren't attending school today" Steve asked opening the door of his car

"Yeah, I wasn't, anyway how'd it go with Nancy?" she asked he shook his head, she stepped inside the car, as he began to explain their interaction before
