Missing Dart

The next morning, here they were, in front of the Wheeler's house, after being nagged at by Belly the whole day, Steve decided he'd talk about it one more time to Nancy, with a bouquet of roses in his hand

"Now what will you say" Belly asked for the tenth time since they left

"That, I am sorry and I love you, no what am I sorry for?" Steve asked

"I love you too, go get your girl" she said practically pushing him out of the car where she remained seated

While she was seated she suddenly felt the door open, seeing outside she saw Dustin, with the roses Steve had earlier

"What the hell?" She said completely shocked "It's for Nancy" she snatched the  bouquet away

"We have bigger problems then his love life" Dustin said before closing the door and sitting on the backseat where Steve followed and started the car

"What the hell is even going on guys?" she asked the guys

"I'll explain it on the way" Dustin said as Steve drove away

"So you let him escape? We've been searching all over for that creature-" Belly was beyond shocked

"Dart, and yes I had an attachment with him I couldn't just let you guys hurt him" Dustin cut her off explaining himself as Belly let out a sigh

"Wait, how big?" Steve asked

"At first it was like this" Belly showed the measurement roughly on her palm

"Now he's like this big" Dustin showed the size

"I swear to god guys, it's just some lizard okay?" Steve tried explaining

"It's not a Lizard" Dustin argued and they continued arguing until Dustin told him about how Dart ate his cat

They reached Dustin's house, and Steve took out his bat with nails from the trunk of the car and they reached to where Dustin supposedly trapped Dart, Belly instinctively took out her lighter that was resting in her pocket

"How do you have that?" Steve asked hands on his hips

"I just do, plus he hates heat right? It'll help" Belly explained turning it on while Steve hit the surface a couple of times in an attempt to hear something

"Alright listen here kids, if this is some sort of Halloween prank you're dead" Steve focused his flashlight at Dustin's face

"It's not" Dustin answered putting up a hand near his eyes "Get out of my face"

"You got keys for this thing?" And with that, Dustin handed him the keys to open the lock as Steve did, but none of them saw a thing "Let me see" Steve took his flashlight from Dustin and took a good look

"He must be further down there" Dustin estimated "I'll stay up here in case he tries to escape" Steve gave him a look before sighing and going inside, Belly followed silently close behind

Upon getting to the very end, it was dark, with a single bulb at the centre, Steve reached out to turn it on and found some sort of slimy looking thing

"Steve, Belly, what's going on down there?" They heard Dustin's voice, Steve reached out

"Get down here" Dustin did as he was told and they reverted their gaze back to the wall where it looked like someone had dug a tunnel

The three made a plan to lure Dart into a place where they could fight him, they got a couple buckets of meat, some gasoline and most important of all, Steve's bat with nails, now here they were in the middle of the road beside woods, Belly and Steve took out the equipments as Dustin's walkie went off, Lucas's voice on the other side

Belly couldn't care less about what they were talking, she grabbed a bucket and started walking onto the woods throwing some pieces of meat down at regular intervals, the two guys were following her as Dustin occasionally told her about where to turn, she didn't think about participating on whatever they were talking about, the whole situation was overwhelming for her, plus the situation with Max

"Hey you okay?" Steve asked putting a hand on her shoulder, which startled her a little bit, Dustin went a few steps ahead of the two

"Yeah, yeah I am alright" she nodded, she was convincing herself that she was alright "Here" She handed the guy his glasses as he took them with a smile on his face "You forgot them in your car"

"I thought I'd have to go back, thanks" he chuckled putting on his glasses when Dustin came to a stop, revealing a junkyard with some dumped cars and bus "Oh yeah, this'll do, this'll do just fine" the three started walking towards it

"I said medium well!" They heard a voice before turning around and seeing Lucas with Max on his bike heading towards them Belly just stared at the girl, not in a creepy way she took a deep breath

"Who is that?" Steve asked the girl  she didn't reply she just looked away playing with her lighter to calm herself down

Belly was trying her hardest to not look at girl, and ignore her she worked with Steve the whole time and didn't even glance at Max, who was desperately wanting to talk to the girl about anything

"What's the deal Belly?" Steve asked in a low voice

"What? Nothing" She quickly replied before putting a hard metal on the broken window of the bus they were hiding in

Steve called Lucas and Dustin and now the five were back to working together to defeat the monster they were up against together
