Chapter 19 - Sinn Phairoh Side Story

Phairoh POV

Sinn came to my shop today and I realized, I had never cleaned this place this well since we opened. "Hi... Cute place" She said and placed her briefcase on the small table.

"Thanks..." I quickly made an assortment of different cupcakes and macaroons on a tray and brought it over. I saw Sinn's eyes and they were glowing. I laughed to myself, she is so adorable.

She looked really hungry but I wanted to tease her. She reached out to pick the topmost chocolate one and "NO Stop!" I pushed her hand away. She was puzzled. "We need to take pictures for Instagram." She mouthed 'O' and waited.

I took some pictures and then I let her have them. "I am going to have a puffy face tomorrow, and I don't even care. This IS CRAZY!!! IT'S SO GOOD!" She loves it! Oh my god yayyy.

"NO wonder you left street fighting for this, you are literally so talented!" She complimented me so much that I don't know how to react. The only other person who compliments me is Chay and that's because I fund his existence. Pete doesn't eat carbs and I don't eat what i make either.

"Are -munch- you did for the day?" Sinn asked me mid-cupcake.

"Yeah and slow down..." She finally swallowed and asked me,

"Then what about the unsold ones?"

"I have a system for that. Usually, I hit up orphanages or homes that need it. Chay sells some in university, and the ones who are still good we keep for the next day. Sometimes Yok tells me to bring some over."

"What are you going to do today?"

"My landlord is having a party for me and chay so I am bringing today's stuff for that. I was hoping you would come over for that."

"I don't think your landlord would want it?"

"He told me I could bring my partner if I had one... Do you still not want to come?"

Yesterday I watched romcoms with Tankhun and his guards until 3 am. No wonder I am talking like this recently.

"Cough! cough!" Sinn choked on the cake, "Here drink water."

"To be honest, It is too early to say we're partners..." Sinn said.

"I agree but if you kiss me you have to take responsibility. Maybe we're not partners... how about a trial plan?"

Sinn thought about it for a while and shook my hand. "Deal!"

Sinn POV

She doesn't look it but she is fast as fuck. I mean we literally met twice and she wanted to date me? I don't even know how to react to that. In the last relationship, I had to go through the whole, "Are you gay, really? can you date me please?" phase. It took me a month to woo her but now she is happily married to some guy. I can't even bring myself to swear at her.

But Phairoh seems different and we can always just be casual. There is no need to rush things.

I cupped her hands in mine and said, "Phairoh, It is hard for me to be in a relationship because I just got out of a major breakup. My family is also not very supportive of me. These are tough times. for me. So even in whatever relationship we have, I will need time to adjust."

"That's normal. Don't worry about it. You don't have to come to the party. I am happy to just spend time here." She smiled. I changed into my normal shoes and she took me out for a walk.

We held each other's hands and it felt right. I felt safe, possibly because both of us are martial arts experts but emotionally I felt safe too. She took pictures of the trees, the sky, and the flowers and I just admired her. Since we were still in summer sunsets were a bit later so even the weather was perfect.

We didn't even have to talk much but it did not feel awkward. "So... where do you want to live during retirement?" She asked me randomly. I am quite taken aback coz that was out of the blue. "retirement is so far though!' I said.

"Come on...I want to go to Greece or Italy and live in a cottage."

"I want to live in a cottage too but probably on a farm or the woods." Are we living the cottage core stereotypes lol?

"But obviously the house will have a ton of alcohol."

"Definitely. And a big TV."

"And Plants!"

"A puppy and a cat too."

"LOL... That sounds nice."

"Yeah... that does." I looked at the life I have now and suddenly became sad.

"Do you regret coming back here?" I guess she noticed me sighing.

"No... No, I don't I got to meet you!"

"Haha, we've known each other for a week."

"Four years and a week."

"Huh?"

I stopped walking to look at her and I smiled. "I was interested in you back when I was here solving Pete's case. But then with work and everything I couldn't meet you. I just realized it when I was thinking back."

"But you were in a relationship right?"

"yeah.. we had broken up at that time and when I went back to the US somehow we got back together again. She left me again and honestly, I'm quite grateful coz I got to meet you..."

She started blushing hard. I pushed a hair strand behind her ear and touched her cheek.

"Now, I seriously don't regret coming back." I pulled her in for another kiss.
